Thesis: Registered Nurse is the perfect job for me because of the salary, the responsibilities, the challenges, and the work environment.
I. Choosing to be a Registered Nurse should not be taken for granted, which is why it is important to be aware of nurse’s salaries.
A. “They may work nights, weekends, and holidays. They may be on call, which means that they are on duty and must be available to work on short notice” (Pay).
B. When entering the healthcare system, accommodating patients should be a top priority for any nurse. A nursing job can be emotionally and physically exhausting. Because patients are in hospitals and home care facilities throughout the year, it never closes. This forces nurses to be away from their families on weekends and holidays. A registered nurse’s salary is tied with the effort and amount of work from the nurse.
II. In the nursing profession, nurses must relate to patients’ best care.
A. “Registered nurses (RNs) provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members” (What They Do).
B. “Having compassion and making sure you treat all patients as your family is a major responsibility. This is for sure that you will always do your best” (Freelon).
While working in the healthcare system nurses have many responsibilities. They must take their jobs into consideration while caring for patients. Nurses play a role that focuses on caring and educating the patients and their families about health problems, needs, and nursing care plans.
C. A Registered Nurse job may include many responsibilities; however, I am willing to give hands- on care to patients in a variety of settings.
D. With Registered Nurses being the largest healthcare occupation, they come with many responsibilities.
III. A work environment plays a role in the ability to provide quality
