The career of an RN interests me because I think it’s not something that I would be bored with, and I’ll always be learning new things on the job. The duties and responsibilities are providing direct patient care, presenting health information to large groups of people, performing emergency procedures, managing many other nurses in teaching hospitals and doing research in universities. IN order to become a registered nurse, of course, you must go through the proper schooling and training. A two year school offers programs that will let you become a registered nurse, as well as some four year schools. To become a registered nurse an individual must graduate from an approved school of nursing and pass a state exam. After going through a lot of trial and error in my career, I have decided that I want to pursue being a Registered Nurse. Many things have led me to this career choice, including personal and financial gain. I have tried many other occupations and educational programs and none of them have fulfilled me like I believe nursing will. It has taken me a long time to get to this point and I often joke that I finally know what I want to be when I grow up. I will tell you about my journey and what I hope to gain in my future.

The tasks of a nurse fascinates me; I have had several opportunities to observe nurses in hospitals and I find their work intriguing. I have always been interested in the health field and performing the jobs of a medical professional. Ever since the age of twelve, I have known I wanted to attend a university and pursue a career in the health field. I have always had an interest in my science courses, specifically biology and chemistry and have excelled in these areas. I want to be able to receive the best education possible and make my parents and community proud. I wish to do more for my community than just being a typical nurse and I will be able to do more by becoming a nurse practitioner.

A Registered Nurse is a person who enjoys helping other people. They practically have the responsibility for many peoples lives. What’s interesting about a Registered Nurse is that they get to learn about all the parts of the human body. A Registered Nurse works in the medical field and needs to be ready with anything that comes their way. There could be a sudden death, some kind of medical issue that pops up, and even a patient just falls over and hurt themselves. As a Registered Nurse they need to be able to deal with blood, snot, vomit etc. The main thing a Registered Nurse has to be good at is being able, and wanting to help people in need.

Two Budgets are your career and min wage. The career I want to have is to be a Forensic Nurse. First, the min wage is how much the state sets for you to get paid, it’s like a certain amount ($7.50). The career wage is basically how much money you get from the job that you get or want. The career wage is supposed to be basically like almost the same or better than min wage, if not something is all the way wrong. In the min wage when they tell you you are getting that amount, you sometimes get it or sometimes not. The career and min wage are supposed to be mainly different.

I am a hardworking student who is highly motivated to go to college and pursue a nursing career. I try my best to be the most responsible person I can be by always completing all the duties and responsibilities that need to be completed. I am able to learn and memorize information in a short amount of time and be able to remember it afterward. These qualities can be very beneficial when it comes to succeeding in college. I am the type of person who does not give up and always tries to find a way out of any situation. I believe I am a very patient person and willing to help anybody and believe this is important when it comes to pursuing a nursing career. I believe the qualities I have developed throughout the years will help me be able to succeed

In the health care field, there are many opportunities one can explore. A few examples of healthcare career options vary from respiratory therapists, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technicians, medical assistants, to the more common hospitalists, physicians, and registered nurses. Of course each position requires certain education requirements and various qualifications to be accepted into the desired healthcare position. However, today we are going to go in depth in the medical assistant position.

Some of the fundamental duties of RNs include working with a diverse range of patients from pediatric to geriatric, with specialization in one of the specific areas, including dermatology, neurologic care, cardiac care, and neo-natal intensive care. Other roles and responsibilities include careful observation and recording of patient behavior, effective consultation with doctors, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, establishment of treatment plans, and operation of medical equipment. Before the age of eighteen, I had lived in three countries. My father’s career as a doctor and scientist of Military, Disaster & Extreme Medicine took my family throughout Kazakhstan, Russia, and the Ukraine. Although it was a challenge for me to continually adapt to new places and learn three languages, I am grateful for the cultural exposure that traveling provided me. In every new environment I was raised to treat others with equal respect and kindness regardless of any differences or similarities we may have had. This exposure has taught me that successful acclimation lies in the ability to interact well with people from diverse backgrounds. Here, in a country of immigrants, I have met people from countries all around the world. The Nursing field provides me the opportunity to help all people regardless of age, sex or ethnicity. I seek a Nursing degree here in the United States in order to increase my knowledge and to be able to practice in the field of professional nursing. My goal of becoming a Registered Nurse has long been encouraged by my personal interest in the profession and by my experience, previous education and achievements. These factors continue to motivate and inspire my desire to seek this degree and become a healthcare professional.

At the beginning of nursing school I had thought that labor and deliver is where I want to be. However, I realized after my first clinical rotation on the floor that, L&D is just not for me. I really enjoy working with children but L&D is not my cup of tea. However, being an L&D nurse is a big deal as that mother in labor relies on you for coaching and being there for her. It’s really great that all these organizations offer so much to continue a nurse’s education in that specialty. It is best way for nurses to also get current research and evidence based practices that are able to help nurses provide optimal and quality care.

Helping others is my greatest passion. It is what I want to do with my life. My career goal is to become a pediatrician. Helping children is what I like the most. It makes me feel accomplished and proud of myself.
