I am a Public Heath major, and I plan on continuing to graduate school after I receive my undergrad. I want to pursue a career in healthcare administration. I think this organization will give me experience in this field. I have an abundance of office experience that I think could be beneficial to this organization. I think all people should be able to receive proper health care, so this organization is something I am super passionate about.
I wish to be involved in any way I can with this outstanding group of individuals that help make medical school organizations function in the most efficient and professional manner. I chose a variety of positions because I feel that in each of them I am fully capable of fulfilling the responsibilities set forth. If I had to rank the priority of the positions I would hope to be Junior Treasurer, Philanthropy Chair Assistant, then Social Chair Assistant. I am qualified for these positions because I am diligent, passionate, and communicative. This is exemplified with my positions like School of Medicine Student Ambassador, Student Council Representative in high school, and my membership in various organizations. Currently, I am member of African
The UNMC Health Alliance will offer me the opportunity to be exposed to skills that will benefit me in the future. This program is the perfect way for me to get out of my comfort zone and meet new people who have the same aspirations as I do. I also get a combination of classroom lectures and hands on experiences, which isn’t available in a high school setting. Hands on experiences are what interests
I joined HOSA freshmen year, looking for opportunities to explore new things and develop new friendships. I was hoping to expand my knowledge about health care careers in a fun and interactive setting, HOSA provided me with just that. HOSA gave me with the platform, which I was looking for to improve my knowledge about the health science field. I was able to compete at the state level in Greensboro, and at the national level in Nashville. For me, attending these competitions provided me with an experience that greatly increased my interest and knowledge of the medical field. Becoming a HOSA district officer would enable me to further enrich my experiences by becoming a better leader and communicator, by sharing my experiences with younger students who are interested in joining the health care field, and grants me to have a bigger impact in HOSA and in my community. Becoming a HOSA district officer will allow me to improve myself as well as bettering the lives of others.
I know the Public Health Associate Program opens many doors. My goals after completion of the program include working in a federal agency, non-governmental organization, or internationally to help build healthy, strong communities. Since traveling internationally at a young age, my goals have never changed. I have wanted to work in some capacity in government and politics to aide in bettering the world around me, and the lives of others.
I believe I would be a wonderful addition to the Early Introduction to Health Careers Program because I am very interested in learning more about the medical field and having a hands on experience. I plan on attending the University of Michigan in the fall of 2019 and majoring in biochemistry. I would like to college at the University of Michigan because I am an aspiring cardiothoracic surgeon and their medical school was ranked number four in the US by U.S. News for primary care. The Early Introduction to Health Careers Program will be an amazing experience for me and will help me to gain more knowledge about the profession I am interested in.
I would be honored to participate in this program as a college volunteer. I am so passionate about medicine and this is a great way to get to be in the medical environment while I am on the path to medical school. I would make it my mission to always leave the hospital having always contributed to the betterment of patients
Although I may be young, and have experience to gain, I believe my passion for providing care to my community as well as my motivation to work towards achieving excellence both make me an excellent candidate for this rigorous program and filed of
One of the main reasons I am interested in attending the UND SMHS is that I enjoy working with groups and I like the focus that UND puts on team-based education. As a member of an underprivileged community, UND will give me the opportunity to have a firsthand knowledge of rural and underserved area health care. My experience while volunteering to serve people in under resourced communities have grown my commitment to help these people not only by providing food, but also by becoming a physician, so I can devote my life to people suffering from diseases and severe
The invaluable skills that I have gained and learned through my after school clubs, Future Business Leaders of America, (FBLA) and National Honor Society( NHS), has stirred up a desire in me to help my community and to make a difference in the lives of people, by majoring in the Public Health field. Through Public Health, I will help those in my community at large to live healthy lives; mentally, socially, physically and culturally. Healthcare is an essential need in life and is a great field that would allow me to make a difference.
Also with my nurses at my previous employers used to always tell me that, but never really knew what exactly was a health administrator at the time. The reason why I feel this program will support me in my goal to be a health administrator is because it's more focus on the skills we need to be a health administrator. Other programs focused more on making money from students and have them take classes they really don’t need. I also like how the program is split into modules, smaller classroom setting , and the ability to get more attention from the professor. What I also like about the program is that it focuses on us working/networking with each other and bring people from different backgrounds. So we can encounter a diverse learning setting. With my pass education at MCC (Monroe community College), it showed me that even though school sometimes is hard it's best to keep going and never give up. My work/ life experience it helped influence me to want to be in this program because I always wanted to help people and be in the health care field. One envisions I have for this program is to be the best health administrator I can be and help as many people as I can. Some of my goals that will help keep me focus that will help me complete this program are my motivation for the program. Also, My goal one day is to successful so I can help my
The organization chosen is Gastroenterology Associates. This is a physician’s practice where I work everyday. As the administrative assistant I notice a lot of what goes on throughout the office. Most of our employees sit for 8 hours a day straining their bodies as well as their eyes. I constantly hear the employees complain of migraines as well as back pain. Sadly enough, by 2 p.m. most of the employees are exhausted. Therefore, I chose this organization because it is close to home. I love my job and I really want to make it the best possible place to work. I care about my employees and their health and that is why I decided to go with something familiar and something I can truly relate to.
I would love to volunteer for Summa Health, because it would impact my life in a positive manner. The program would impact my life in a positive manner because I would get a chance to help my community and this program could help me in many ways, one of them being learning things that could help me in the future. Another way this could benefit for me is because I Would be around the medical environment and also I could help the patients or health care workers. I should be selected for the LEAD Program because I am fit for the position and very passionate about it. I can also get some of the skills I need from this program. I am apart of the Health and Wellness Den at my current school, Cuyahoga Falls High School. I also have many experiences
I have worked for the medical group for about 8 years, and while I was in that company, I have worked closely with Inpatient Case Managers, Outpatient Case Managers, Prior Authorization Medical Directors, and Vital Care Case Managers which opened my passion to become a
I will be soon celebrating my thirty-sixth birthday and still confronted with the same familiar questions I keep asking myself: "have I contributed to a positive change in people's lives or have I have lent them my ears when they feel traumatized with their problems?" Asking myself these questions is what has sparked a growing interest in the field-of-healthcare. For me, to pursue a career in healthcare will be a life fulfilling moment. Not only would I be opened to endless opportunities to specialize in the field of my interest, the prospect of working with others to give excellent health care will be
I loved to be the leader, take the responsibility, the right decisions and give the advices, especially with matters that dealing with care of people and their health.
