Even though the Pacific JWICS ESC operates on a private network, many of its working force require the use of the public internet to meet service requirements. Air Force policy dictates specific purchases through commercial websites. Troubleshooting and service support from vendors usually begin with their respective websites as well. Besides direct vendor issues, every Pacific ESC member must utilize the internet to meet requirements or take administrative actions through various information systems and websites that would only be available via the internet.
