The Identity Boundary. Living in a society, each individual gets tagged with various identities. Identities can differentiate from a lot of aspects, such as occupation, gender, nationality and race. However, most of people can only view the world from their own perspectives, and tend to trust people inside the identity boundary while being suspicious of outsiders. The division of department in Newskool Grooves make employees identify themselves from other departments. Furthermore, the different departments are set up in different countries, which will enhance the identity boundary. For example, the marketing staff of Newskool Grooves may consider that the design department does not understand the information they collect from customer at all.
The racism present in The Honey Spot emphasises white dominance over aboriginal culture. The text shows this through prejudiced comments and the disregard for aboriginal ways. When the Ranger says, "Now look Peggy, you shouldn't get too friendly with these people." (pg27). His tone is cautious as if he is harbouring stereotypical views about Aboriginal people. These views are displayed when the Ranger continues, "...They're not like us. They have different habits, they live differently..." (pg27). The Ranger does not know any Aborigines yet he assumes their behaviour to be so different from his own. The Ranger's prejudiced beliefs are effective in turning into a display of white superiority.
When people think of the word identity they might think of several factors of identity such as their name, race, sexuality, religion or other things that define the person that they are. The concepts of human identity have been created to not only label ourselves, but to also label the people around us so that we can have an improved sense of structure and order within our lives and society. Labeling people affects how those people are spoken to or interacted with in society. These labels confine individuals to act or think a certain way, which limits creativity. The consciousness that people have about themselves is part of their identity as well as what makes them unique. According to psychologists, identity is a consistent definition of one’s self as a unique individual, in terms of role, attitudes, beliefs and aspirations. Identity tries to define who people are, what they are, where they go or what they want to be or to do. According to Glanz, Rimer, and Viswanath (2008), theories in which focus on beliefs and actions of individuals are the first theories of health behavior that are still being practiced around the world today. The individual theories either known as intrapersonal theories that are still being used today are the following: Health Belief Model (HBM), Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), Transtheoretical Model (TTM), and the Precaution Adoption Process Model (PAPM) (Glanz, Rimer, Viswanath, 2008). Work creates an identity for a person also. Whether its promotions to a higher position or being unsatisfied and distraught with their job. People who enjoy their job and work environment will create more of a confident identity compared to someone who does not will have an un-motivated identity. School has an impact as well when it comes to identity. It is where a children, adolescents, and adults are influenced by acquiring knowledge and constantly being surrounded by peers. Through school, memberships in friendship groups, cliques, or "crews" helps build an identity apart from their relationship to parents. However, over-identification with a clannish group that rejects anyone who looks or acts different can limit personal growth.
Identity shows who the person is. However, an issue will show someone's identity. These days people creates somebody identity by their look, the way people act, the manner people speak. The identity is from family however people aren't able to believe that identity they decide their own manner. Identity comes from teams too. For an example, if you keep in unhealthy people company then your identity are counted as same as them. People can decide you same because of the cluster. Identity comes from society to that is analogous to the cluster. Therefore these days it will depend on upon who you hang around with (groups) and wherever you reside in your identity will come back from that in individual’s opinions. You’ll be able to produce your identity by yourself.

Identity establishment is something that is necessary for youth as well as adults to acknowledge early on in their life. The recognition of race and culture helps people to know “who they are” and “where they come from.” It is this knowledge that allows them to create a space in the world they live in that provides them with the ability to establish a sense of cultural awareness. You can see this ideal introduced in McLean’s’ (2010) article. McLean states: “digital technology facilitates the compression of time and space that affords movement across sociocultural boarders.” (p. 14). In general we differentiate between two “kinds” of identity. On the one hand there is the so called social identity, which stresses self-interpretation as a member of a certain social group and on the other hand there is the personal identity, which puts it´s emphasis on individuality and distinctiveness. This distinction is widely known as “patchwork-identity”. Both identities are only a subgroup of many different subjectively interpreted identities that everyone of us has innate.

Identity is the set of behavioral or personal characteristics by which an individual is recognizable as a member of a group. Each people have their own personality, being different and unique from other people. Even though it’s different, each people have some similarity with others that connected them together as a community or a group. However, these groups is not open for all people, some people have to sacrifice their aspects of identity in order to belong to the group that they want to join.
Who are you? Who am I? These are questions that we all ponder at some point or another in our lives. As human beings we are seemingly inundated with the desire to classify and categorise. We are constantly defining and analysing the differences that we observe in the world, it seems only natural that we would apply this method of classification to our position within our society. More specifically, we want to understand our social identities and this can be achieved by acknowledging which groups we identify most with.
Every person has something they’re passionate about — something that they love. Throughout my life, music and fashion have always been there. Music is something that I have grown up with. In my home there’s rarely a moment of silence — always a radio playing or someone singing. Music speaks to many emotionally, inducing sorrow, anger, sympathy, and a plethora of other emotions. What music accomplishes for most by listening to the words, melodies, and rhythm — fashion does for me by style, color, and texture.

Identity is a word that is used very commonly and regularly by people in their daily life. Identity formation is a process of developing distinct, separate identity. “A person’s identity has many attributes. It is a representation of one’s unique personal experience, memory, ethnicity, culture, religious orientation, gender, occupational role, amongst various other factors. Erikson refers to identity as “some belief in the sameness and continuity of some shared world image.”Identity may be defined as one’s consciousness of one self and others’ perception of one’s individuality”, (Yamin, 2008).
