1. Evaluation: is defined as the last step of the nursing process that helps to determine whether goals are met or not. This process enables healthcare professionals to determine whether teaching was effective and how well staff members have performed. This process is important as it helps demonstrate patient’s status and the effectiveness of nursing care.
2. Critical Thinking: is a process that enables one to apply knowledge in order to make decisions about a client’s problem or health issue. These skills assist the nurse to determine what actions to take for example; thinking outside of the box to find solutions that are best for the patient. There are six steps to critical thinking, which includes; knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and Evaluation.
3. Management: is the process of planning and directing the work within an organization. There are five major management functions, which includes; planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling. In order to have an effective management, one must be a good leader. Managers usually hold formal positions of authority and make decisions about their organizations.
4. Leadership: is the potential to inspire others as a means to achieve a desired result. There are different types of leadership styles, the main ones being transformational and transactional leadership. A good leader must be inspirational, have positive attitude, and good communication skills.
