There are many lessons that you learn over time; sometimes the just for a lifetime, others just for a year or two, and some just for a few days. Everyone has a different style of life, which mean that the life lessons that we learn are all going to be different. Over my short fifteen years, I have learned a lot. The life lessons that you learn could be anything, for example learning to walk, riding a bike, and hunting. I think that the most common life lessons have to do with family, relationships, and friends. When I was very young my mom and Ryan, my dad, split up because they did not get along. During this time we lived with my grandparents. My dad would get me every other weekend at his house, in Mason City. That had always …show more content…
Relationships are a huge part of everyone's life. You have relationships with your parents, friends, family, and significant other. I think that the most important relationships are with your friends and family. The relationships that I have with my family are the most important to me. My aunt and I have the strongest relationship. The reason I say this is I tell her just about everything and she does not tell my mom unless it is threatening to my life or someone else's. My second best relationship is with my mom she is my rock if I need to tell her how I feel about something and she will tell me her opinion on how she feels about it. My third best is with my cousin Hannah, she literally knows everything about me if you want to know something about me ask her. A number of inside jokes that we have are uncountable. My next best relationship is with my siblings the bond between us can not be broken. Lastly, I have a wonderful relationship with my boyfriend. We are an open book there is nothing special about our relationship besides the fact that we leave room for God. Most teenage couples are all about them, they don't think about who brought them together. There are many more relationships in everyone's life. The lesson that I learned with relationships is don't worry about what other people think about the relationships that you have. People are always going to judge other people.
Friends are the best thing
Response to change is a major key people’s success in life. Everyday people make decisions on change. The way people act on those obstacles makes or breaks a person. Responding the right way can be one of the most challenging objectives a person may face.
When one car broke down, my dad would be right there that day to find out what was wrong. Around 6 PM every night, dinner was made and ready. Now, we have to find our own way to fix the cars, or wait for my dad to come home, which is rare now. Dinner is now whatever you can find because neither my mom nor I have time to run to the store or to cook a meal. I will say, having my dad around was taken for granted.
There are many lessons to learn in life. I believe that we are dealt with some trials, some larger than others. We make choices based on our reactions to these certain circumstances some of us regret our choices or decisions and learn from them to do better the next time. I believe that is what life is about. What choices we make and the outcome of the choices and what we can do to make it better is our decision.
Of Mice and Men The story Of Mice and Men shows many different life lesson. Here are some life lesson that I have learned from Of Mice and Men. The first thing I learned from the story is that having a dream to look forward to can make hardship more endurable. Second I learned that people who really cares about you doesn't always show it.
Sometimes life lessons are learned the hard way. Unfortunately for me, this is how I learned mine. I do not mean to make this sad and depressing, but this is the truth.
I have had a plethora of unique life experiences, many of which have happened in the last couple years of my life. In the past three years I have traveled to Guatemala, all over Germany, and Hawaii. During the summer of my freshman year of High School, I went on a missions trip to Guatemala. My church took 10 boys, and 10 girls; we spent a total of a week in a small impoverished town called . I believe that this trip allowed me, for the first time, to see, and be enveloped in a new culture. During the trip I ate new foods, played new games, and learned about the Guatemalan culture. I was able to spend time with all of the local kids, and learn how to respect a new culture. Then, this last summer, I was able to take a part in a German Exchange program with my school. After taking 3 years of German in High School, I was one of twenty people selected to go on a three-week long exchange program in Germany. The trip consisted of a week traveling with the 20 people chosen to go. The other two weeks were spent living with my host family and German partner. During my stay there I visited Berlin, Munich, Cologne, and traveled to the Netherlands. This was another chance for me to experience a new culture, and to further my German speaking skills. However, more importantly, it allowed me to make lifelong friends in another part of the world. About a month after I got back from Germany, my family went on a 12 day vacation to Hawaii. During my time there I had the opportunity to do a
What are lessons, are they what we learn in school or are they what we learn from experiences. Mostly lessons are learned from stories writing to teach us the cause and effect of actions one person can do. One such person is Winston Wyn from the book The Butterfly Revolution by William Butler. Winston and Butler teach the audience that, when someone with low self-esteem gains power they begin to sway from the right path. The audience sees this with Winston, when he gains power, he don't question what is right or wrong and mostly went toward the wrong choice.
In the novel life lessons:two experts on death and dying teach us the mysteries of life and living. The novel talks about many lessons such as
Throughout the momentous storyline of To Kill a Mockingbird, Atticus Finch, father of Scout and her brother Jem, establishes himself as an honorable and eloquent individual. As a result of living a long life with plentiful escapades, he has gained a vast amount of knowledge that is passed on to his children at various points in the story. This makes it a very valuable book that is full of significant life lessons. One of these precious statements is, “You never really know a man until you stand in his shoes and walk around in them.” I find this quote to be accurate, solely for the reason that no human can completely understand and relate to any other unless they have an encounter with the experiences and occurrences that those who are different
If there is one specific lesson I could take away from life it would be helping others. Everyone in this world is born for a reason and sometimes we are not able to discover what specifically brought us here. I was born to help others in those of difficult times of needs. I was born to learn from others and inspire human beings to do better for themselves. One of my favorite quotes is by Danny Thomas, the founder of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He once said “All of us are born for a reason, but all of us don’t discover why. Success has nothing to do with what you gain in life or accomplish for yourself. It’s what you do for others.” Danny Thomas’s quote inspires me to help others in order to be successful in life. If the world didn’t have professions that required helping others, humans would never be able to learn from mistakes and promote social change. Social work is a profession that requires helping others. Not everyone can be a social worker, and those who are fortunate enough to be a social worker have the opportunity to learn something new about others every day.
Life lessons are tremendously important. Many say that in order to learn a life lesson, you must live through one. They are not wrong, but there is a much easier way to
After my father and my mom got divorced, we still saw my dad every weekend and on Wednesday’s.
Throughout our life we will always meet many people that teach us major life lessons,
My dad had left my mom, my brother, and me when we were little, but we will still would visit him every weekend, and we would spend time with him like when we were a family. My mom didn’t really like us going to
All through life, we experience various occasions when decision-making become necessary. A number of them present themselves in difficult forms and at crucial points. Most of the verdict we take will eventually figure and describe our track of lives. These are what we refer to as lessons of life. Choices never present themselves in an easy way. In some instance we are always forced to pay a price to achieve something. This implies that we are trading for an outcome we are seeking.
