Providing one another with kind words and courage helped to pick up the spirits of the ones who were down. They used the fact that they were alive to keep striving to stay alive. Everyone played a specific role in helping keep everything together, so though the captain of the team made himself leader there became many more leaders throughout the time. When conflict arose the group tried its best to regroup and to get everyone on the same page. There was a point in time that people began to lose hope but through the encouragement and help of others they overcame. When real conflict arisen such as weather to eat the flesh of the fallen passengers everyone was not on board which caused a sight conflict between them. It was a difficult decision because it was something they never thought it would have to come down to but when it did they chose to survive. Being in a group of people you are going to be surrounded by different attitudes as well as personalities but in this case they had to find a way to get rid of those attitudes and help each other. Being in a situation as crucial as the one that took place in the film I feel that they would have not made it out alive if it wasn’t for the other passengers. The reason why they survived for as long as the did considering the circumstances is because of the fact that each and every person on that plane played a significant role. They helped uplift

The film Pleasantville directed by Gary Ross is about two modern teenagers, David and his sister Jennifer, somehow being transported into the television, ending up in Pleasantville, a 1950s black and white sitcom. The two are trapped as Bud and Mary Sue in a radically different dimension and make some huge changes to the bland lives of the citizens of Pleasantville, with the use of the director’s cinematic techniques. Markus Zusak focuses the novel on a distrait young girl, Liesel Meminger, which through her the audience captures the spectrum of existence. Each human, having a stand on a certain place at random, waits for chance to give its say. Liesel experiences tragedies and disasters alike that only engulf the fear of being either alive or dead. The same way the act of no longer breathing is terrifying, so is the incidental continuation of a pulse; having of seen other characters die before her adds to it. The author takes points of views from characters, aside from Liesel, that’ve been chosen to live through traumatizing events. Their dialogue and surroundings further act as a basis for survivor's guilt--- which causes those who survived to continue
This study investigated the accounts of individuals involved in the London underground bombings in 2005. Throughout this investigation, thematic analysis was conducted on six eyewitness accounts, highlighting their feelings and actions, which came about as a result of the incident. From these accounts I obtained 4 key themes, which were consistent components of the six accounts. Evidently, I found that the two most common themes were ‘helping behaviour’ and the ‘panic’ myth. This was rather unexpected, as initially, I expected to find irrational and helpless behaviour, due to the panic and stress of being trapped in a bombed underground. To conclude, the investigation illuminated the concept of helping others before helping ones self. Thus, contradicting the concept of survival of the fittest, as in this case the ‘fittest’ were those who took it upon themselves to assist other passengers in need. Therefore, highlighting the power of empathy which was risen with experiencing the disaster.

In this article, the author uses conflict to show guts. There are many problems and situations in this article. One of the problems in this article is a plane crashing. “Last Wednesday, the elements, indifferent as ever, brought down flight 90” (Rosenblatt, 273). Nature has brought down a plane in its winter wonderland. Many people were injured and cannot aid themselves. Despite this incident, the humans worked together to overcome this obstacle to help help others that needed it. Instead of doing nothing, they risked their lives to make sure the people on the plane lived.. Another conflict is, the humans having a chance to go home. The men who helped out was given numerous chances to leave the disaster site. They had a choice to stay

The first example of conflict in the film is in the scene where Nick and Billy find out that their business is closing down. The source of this conflict is due to a lack of communication from their former employer, who failed to inform them of the business’s foreclosure. Furthermore, the emotional reactions from Billy, Nick and their employer allowed for the conflict to fester. The former employer neglected to manage this dysfunctional conflict and thus neither of the conflicted parties benefitted. Very definitely, the dysfunctional nature of the conflict and an absence of the necessary conflict management allowed for both parties to leave
Decisions, Decisions, are always hard especially when there about someone you love. In this essay I will be summing up the documentary Extremis which is a live film that took place in a hospital. This film showed a lot of personal things that happened to people and their families dealing with death or life-threatening injuries but always remember; No matter how good or bad your life is going always remember to be thankful because someone somewhere is fighting to survive. When watching documentaries what comes to mind? Is it a lot of talking, a lot of boring information, or maybe even a lot of repetitive information? Most of these things are true, but it takes analyzation to understand what’s going on when, what’s going on why, why the music stops and starts at different times, and even the purpose of the film. When watching a documentary film, you should make sure you have analyzed what’s going on as far as the editing and the transitioning because those two basically sum up the story.
