It doesn't matter what lies behind or before us, what matters is what lies within us. Self love is to believe in ourselves that we are valuable which indirectly builds up from the independence and freedom we get from our family, culture and believe. The text shows Independence and self love which includes the following texts. The memoir “The Glass Castle” by Jeannette Walls represents the struggles the way she overcome them in various self independent ways. The song “I ” by Kendrick Lumar represents the affection and self love towards oneself and “The Other Family” by Himani Bennerji shows the complexity of a daughter who is struggling to achieve her own self love and independence. Firstly, childhood struggles and difficulties can be overcome if one loves them and they are passionate to achieve their goals and dreams. Secondly, our experience of the family can help to shape our independence and to halt our progress as we are reliable on them. Finally, accepting ourselves and investing in self love makes us capable to achieve something in life. By examining the impact of struggles, family and acceptance, this essay will demonstrate that finding self love regardless of family status influence our perspectives on ourselves and what we are capable of achieving.

Before success, there is always a process in which you first start with. Many people start after acknowledging a moment in their life that motivates them to do more. Many of these successful people come from a variety of unique backgrounds and a lot of them from disadvantaged backgrounds, such as poverty, a single-parents’ household, or even abusive parents. These causes, however do more than inspire themselves, but others who see their success story. This results in a way where it gives people a change of mindset to prove those people wrong and move on from that disadvantaged background. Another thing that can come from this is the support of others and being able to create new and healthy relationships with others who would help lead them to success. I see

Becoming successful has been the dreams of many people of the past and present and I think that it is one the most important things that a person must accomplish. Anyone and everyone can develop into a successful
As a child, I've had many dreams and goals in my life. I do understand that the average person can't have exactly what we want in life, but anyone can aspire for a wonderful future. While most individuals can't realize every dream that comes to mind, anyone can aim for the best and set goals to help achieve what they want. Often, one would need to be successful to fulfil those dreams in our lives and that is exactly what I strive to become.
While traveling through the daily path of life, have you ever stumbled upon the victory of success? Well I have and the cost of it really pays off. There are moments when things wouldn't go my way but, from the times of me failing is the reason why I understand what was wrong and to use that knowledge to build up attainment. As a person, accomplishing greatness and showing joy is who defines me as a person and what leads me to unfold my dreams achievements.
Success does not come easily. A person will have to use his full potential to achieve his goal. I grew up in the city of Memphis, Tennessee where many young adults around my age are afraid to use their full potential. When a person does not use their full potential, he could forfeit opportunities towards him. For example, a boy is studying hard for his upcoming test. He becomes familiar with all of the information that he needs to know for the test; Although, he did not try his very best
As we contemplated on chapter 10 “Individuals who are securely attached have a well-integrated sense of self-acceptance, self-steam, and self-efficacy” (348). I grew up in a harmonic environment, in which my parents always emphasized me the importance of being secure about myself and never be afraid of expressing my ideas and thoughts. I grew up with a family that motivates me to always obtain my own goals; my parents fomented in me the idea that I have to try the best of me in order to accomplish my goals and my personal success. My parents have always educated me in an affectionate environment, they always express to my sisters and me how important we are and they encourage us to always be independent. One of most important things that my parents taught to my sisters and I was to always be proud of ourselves and never be scared of the times we fall. They always encouraged my sisters and me to focus on our goals and not matter how far or close we are from them. Sincerely, I think that the amount of attention and affection that we receive from our parents influence and design the person we become in the future. Honestly, I am so thankful with my parents because the way in which they educated me to play a really important role on structure and development of my self-steam, my personality, and mainly in the way I interact with
Let’s start with a story. My father was raised in a middle income family in Des Moines, Iowa. He was never motivated by his parents to participate in anything, receive good grades, set goals, or chase his dreams. He always worked hard and was proud of what he did. He started working at a young age. He tried to go to college, but he didn’t have the funds to afford it. He started working at a countertop fabricator in Des Moines. He has worked there ever since, and now manages the entire operation and works directly with the owner. He found his own way in this world and has proven himself over and over again. While this story is somewhat dated, I believe that the message still holds true today. You have to be willing to push yourself and to accomplish all that you desire. This is exactly how I define success. It is the drive to do the best you can do, improve yourself and help others.
People strive their entire lives at goals that lead to nothing. They work to complete things that the micro-society around them has deemed “acceptable”. Some may graduate high school, then hang out in their neighborhood from nine to five. A few may marry off only to ponder on their true dreams. Others attend college, then spend the rest of their lives working toward another person’s life goal. Then there are the people who go through the storm of life striving for the greatest opportunities life should offer. I am becoming that person. The person who sees the possibilities in a world of impossible. In my life, many would say a goal I’ve accomplished is surviving the many unfortunate preconceived life obstacles that I have endured. From mother abandonment to having an incarcerated father. Yet for myself my greatest life goal to date was not only being the first student to study abroad from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) but being able to encourage other African American students to pursue study abroad.
Everybody hopes to one day achieve some sort of goal. Being successful requires ambition and motivation. Ambition is a strong desire to do or to achieve a particular goal that a person has in hopes to become successful. Ralph Waldo Emerson, an American essayist, lecturer, and poet, once said that “Without ambition one starts nothing. Without work one finishes nothing. The prize will not be sent to you. You have to win it.” Ambition is a good thing because people should always work hard to do their best and achieve more. If people weren’t ambitious than they wouldn’t strive to achieve and be successful in life.
