Influence Of Reading And Writing

Reading and Writing affects me Reading and writing is not something I really enjoyed too much growing up. After all, a kid who can barely speak English may not enjoy something like grammar or fall behind others on a reading level. Growing up, reading and society have not really mixed well in my view. When I was a kid, I would read for fun and for educational purposes, and the society around me would be saying that the higher you can read the better. In middle school, I started to not read for amusement, but more for education. Finally, in high school, being forced to read felt like annoying, busy work. Honestly, I do not have a deep story of how reading has greatly affected me in my more recent years, but I know that reading created a big image of how the world could or should be today. Reading and writing has had positive influences on how I act in the real world, but society has been a negative impact towards reading and writing for most of my years, but not all of them. Reading has never been a strong point for me, but if I go back to my elementary years society helped boost my will to read. When I was in the English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) class, I was at such a low reading level that I could not read any of the books the other kids in my regular classes were reading in class. Society in elementary school said that being able to read at a high level makes you cool, so without a doubt I wanted to fit in with everyone else and read with
