Part 1: Analysis of an Information Technology Professional
The professionals in each of the scenario images were very professional, in dress, demeanor, approach, and overall appearance. In the first image, although the professionals were standing close together, there were no snide expressions, and each held a professional posture. Image two the three professionals were posing in a server room, it looks as if they posed mid-duty on an server room inspection or routine maintenance check. Image three two engineering professionals greet each other in a field, one looks to be ready to help the other.
Several things in each image stood out as professional, they were all professionally dressed for what looked to be their role. The first image looked

In relating to my specific field as an IT consultant, the professionals in the first two images wore acceptable attire for most customer sites pending specific role assigned. Perhaps a personal choice would differ in the blouse choice or style, but any of the individuals in the first two images could pass as a professional IT Consultant. The attire in the final image would not be appropriate for an IT Consultant as jeans and causal shirts are not permitted when visiting customer sites, in business meetings, or at professional networking …show more content…
I strive to always keep the customer first in mind, if they are not happy, it reflects poorly on not only me, but also my company. I strive to maintain a positive attitude daily, and uplift others when they are in a difficult situation. I always strive to not only get a job done, but do it efficiently, within budget, while maintaining high quality standards. I seem to communicate effectively both written and verbally; however, my largest weakness is public speaking. Another area I need to improve is leadership, as I have always been a team member I have not had the opportunity to manage in the IT consulting
How do you conduct yourself as a ‘professional’, not just generally but with specific reference to ‘professionalism’ within the HR function? What improvements could you make?
Dress codes change generally among districts and fields of occupation in America. A Wall Street representative will wear a smart suit and shirt to work, while start-up workers in Silicon Valley may appear in shorts and shirt amid available time. Be possibly overdressed rather than underdressed for your imminent representative meeting, a fundamental meeting, or your first day at work. When you pick among moderate, sharp nice, and nice clothing, constantly go for one of the underlying two decisions, dependent upon how standard the association being alluded to is. If your commitments incorporate individual contact with customers or clients, more formal apparel is consistently anticipated. When you know the environment better, you may dress down,
When you meet someone for the first time every detail is being noticed; from your entrance, wardrobe, handshake, etiquette, and voice quality and speech (Center for Professional Communication, 2014). First impressions are lasting ones and the first step in building long lasting relationships. A person must be aware of their presence and understand themselves to have a confident professional presence.
The Operating System manages the flow of data and tells the processor what component needs to be doing. It does this my relaying one piece of information at a time but done so fast it seems it is doing it all at the same time. It does this by giving the information to the processer in computer language, so it can understand.
If they are going to an interview they would dress up formal and sophisticated and if they were
I attended the Master’s thesis defense of Jake Bledsoe titled Insights on the Intestinal Microbiome of Commercially Important Ictalurid Catfish through 16S rRNA Gene Sequencing on October 28th. He was dressed in a plain white button up shirt and black slacks. This was more professional than it could have been, but not as professional as I would like to see. I would prefer to see a thesis presenter in a jacket of some type, or at least wearing a tie.
Professionalism: When it comes to Real-Life scenarios or In-Game, being professional is a must have.
We still need to continue to display a professional image towards our clients and the public. Employees need to use their best judgement in dressing appropriately for “Casual Fridays”. Below is a list of acceptable and unacceptable
We form first impressions and overall judgments about people by the way one dresses. In the workplace, depending on what industry or company it is, employee dress code can differ based on the situation. Those who work at a banking institution are generally required to dress in “suit and tie” or at least business casual. In such workplaces, it is often required to abide by strict policies such as having to cover up tattoos and piercings whilst at the workplace. The dress code is set because the appearance of an employee reflects the company and its values. Thus when dealing with the public, other employees and in all other business relationships, it is important to conduct oneself in a courteous and respectful manner, which also entails dressing appropriately.
Professional presence is a dynamic blend of poise, self confidence, control, and style that empowers us to be able to command respect in any situation. Once acquired, it permits us to project a confidence that others can quickly perceive the first time they meet us.
I believe that wearing red pants with a stripe tie at work does not convey a highly professional image. The individuals wearing scrubs in the picture looked uncoordinated, because their scrubs have different colors. I noticed that nobody were wearing name badges for identification. I love how they were all smiling in the picture and I view them as friendly individuals who were ready to work. All staff in the picture seems happy at what they do and it appears like everyone gets along in the team. In my observation, the individuals in the group have a good open communication which makes them professional. Likewise, all individuals in the picture looked clean and well-groomed. The lady wearing skirt looked professional, because she used a moderate length of skirt which is suitable for her job duties. Lastly, I noticed that all the ladies were only wearing light make-up that compliments their skin
Your company will present a favourable, visual image to clients and others who enter your establishment when the staff members dress in work or business wear that you include personalised
We are to all wear business attire while we are working. The first meeting should consist of men wearing a dark conservative suit. Women should wear a dark conservative suit or a modest dress. They tend to look more presentation verses material things so we should all be ironing our clothing and polishing out shoes. We need to get off to great start and show our new partners we are serious about conducting business with them.
Professional image in today’s diverse workplace is constantly under observation and analysis (Stark, 2005). Many professionals may not pay attention, and manage their own professional image, but people are constantly observing, and forming opinions and ideas about the professional’s competence, character, and commitment relating to their profession based on their professional image (Stark, 2005). According to an interview conducted by Stark (2005) with professor Laura Morgan Roberts, when asked; “what is professional image,” Professor Roberts stated that professional image is a person’s established abilities and qualities. These abilities and qualities indicates views of a person’s proficiency and personality as adjudicated by his or her clients, colleagues, superiors, and people in general (para. 6).
Dress standards vary by employer, and this needs to be taken into consideration during the style consultation also. Some workplaces allow for business casual clothing, yet others demand standard business or business formal wear. Regardless of where the individual works, however, grooming is of great importance, and the style consultation may be of help with this
