Anime, is a term that is used to represent Japanese animation (Lamarre 1). It is a combination of both form of content and form of expression. However, there seems to be more emphasis on form of content rather than expression when discussing anime. Form of content includes the genre, story and narrative while form of expression includes the animation and the style. Form of content can be described as what the audience is being shown and the message that is conveyed. On the other hand, form of expression emphasizes how the animation is shown and as a means for the animation to be shown. In this paper, the first episode of the television anime series Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (also known as Bishōjo Senshi Sērāmūn in Japanese), will be …show more content…
When Sailor Moon is being introduced, the camera is moved up gradually from Usagi’s bed to her face. The camera remains on her face until she realizes she’s late for school. Then, there is a sudden zoom in of her alarm clock, a zoom in of Usagi, and a zoom out of her house. This emphasizes that’s late for school and she suddenly wakes up and runs down the stairs. As she runs down the stairs, a selection process is used where only her legs are shown to be moving. As she speaks to her mom, Usagi is the one moving while her mom remains still throughout most of the scene in the same position, along with the background which is still aswell. However, when she is out the door and running, the background moves along with her. This demonstrates a pull-cels technique since the single image is pulled across the background as Usagi is running towards school. There is also stillness in the background in various scenes. When Usagi is kneeling on the street and contemplating about showing her mother her test, we see people in the background. These people are still and do not move, even when she Usagi walks down the road. During these type of scenes, sound would be the carrier of information since the background is still. Thus, Usagi speaking is what conveys the information to us rather than the illustration. Another scene which demonstrates more movement in camera is when Usagi is home to show her mother her test. The dialogue between Usagi and

Knights are the European warriors that go into battle to protect their kingdom. Meanwhile, samurai defend and protect Japan and its people. If the two warriors were to go to battle or war, I think that a samurai would win. While knights and samurai have many similarities, in a one on one battle, the advantage would be to the samurai t= and this can be seen in the samurai code, armor/training, and training.
Cheerleading began for me at the age of twelve. In the past I had played soccer, basketball, softball, did ballet. Basically every activity my mom could possibly put me in. All of those activities were okay, but cheerleading became something that was special to me. I first began cheering in middle school for the Hazelwood West Junior Wildcats. I cheered on the team throughout middle school literally dedicating all of my free time to cheerleading. I lived, ate, and dreamed cheer. I went on to continue cheering throughout my high school career, cheering for all Hazelwood West athletics, including: soccer, football, basketball, and wrestling. I was a hardcore dedicated athlete, and I had spirit like no other. From
A knight in Feudal Europe were warriors who owed loyalty and military service to the lord for in return, land. A samurai in Feudal Japan were warriors who owed loyalty and military service to daimyos for either regular payment or land. While knights and samurais have many similarites, in a one on one battle, the advantage would be to the samurai and this can be seen in weapons& armor, code , and training.
Do you watch cartoons? I do. Not bugs bunny; I'm talking about anime. Do you know what that is?
The director Miyazaki utilizes both physical and visual elements as represented by the characters, in order to communicate and individualize unique character traits and contrasting personalities. Miyazaki’s placing emphasis on character development is a significant aspect of not only the narrative, but also asserts how each gender is represented in a different way.
Antaki should leave Aleppo, because he definitely isn’t safe there. No one is safe in Aleppo at the moment. As many people as possible should leave while they can. There’s a chance of dying while escaping, but it’s worth a shot. If they stay in Aleppo for too long, it’s almost certain that they will either get mortally wounded or severely injured. So, Antaki should take the opportunity and escape before it’s too late.
The era of accountability has heavily swayed public schools towards narrowing the curriculum across content and disciplines. Student test scores have become the measure in which states, districts, schools, classrooms, and teachers are deemed “excellent.” Also, many schools have been confronted with budget cuts that determine the content offered in schools. Unfortunately, arts programming across the United States’ K-12 public education has been minimized and/or not given the proper attention it deserves. To strengthen the argument for arts education, researchers have developed the integration of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to curriculum and lesson planning. I argue that the integration of the arts in classroom curriculum with early childhoods students can provide benefits not only for students but teachers. Arts education centers on allowing both students and teachers to engage in creativity and bring out their multiple intelligence. I recognize four reasons why arts education is a valuable tool with young children: (1) arts can be used across subjects and context (interdisciplinary), (2) it touches on the needs of different learners (multiple intelligence), (3) flexibility that allows creativity in the classroom, and (4) shifts away from traditional methods of rote learning.
Ever thought how dumb comic books or graphic novels were growing up? Why such avid readers were called (myself included) nerds? Yet were smarter than you? Think back to how geeky their way of speaking was and they touched on such complexities even for a book! Shortly, reasoning will tell you why comic books are the best. Over the years, from the 20th to 21st century, research and documentation has been stacking up to prove that comic books make their readers smarter. Comics make you want to read, and they use complex language which progresses verbal intelligence. Like steroids for the mind, comics can take struggling readers and make them stronger!

“I like video games, but they’re really violent. I’d like to play a videogame where you help the people who were shot in all other games. It’d be called Really Busy Hospital.”-Demitri Martin. Role playing games have been a source of fun and entertainment for children and adults. There are more safe and calm games such as Just Dance, and there are more Perilous games such as Call of Duty. Role playing games such as killer are perilous for school age children putting them in danger, teaching violence, and teaching reckless behavior.
