We are looking for a Saudi partner to embark in a joint venture. There are several agreements ratified by the United States to help companies do businesses in Saudi Arabia. Indeed, in 2003, the United States signed a Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) with Saudi Arabia. The agreement “promotes the establishment of legal protections for investors, improvements in intellectual property protection, more transparent and efficient customs procedures, and greater transparency in government and commercial regulations” (Saudi Arabia - Trade Agreements, n.d., para.3), Ladies and Gentlemen, this type of agreement will give us more latitude to carry out our project.
Now that I have discussed globalization and its benefits when our venture is concerned, I will discuss trade opportunities between our two companies. Business opportunities in Saudi Arabia are endless. As suggested by Doingbusinessguide.com (n.d.): “The World Economic Forum ranks the Kingdom 6th in the world for Local Supplier Quantity and 24th for both Value Chain Breadth and Production Process Sophistication. […] Saudi Arabia’s domestic industries – from energy and chemicals to transportation – provide industrial projects with exceptional opportunities for cost savings”. I believe that our idea to expand in Saudi Arabia is a perfect way to grow both our businesses. We have the skills to provide your company with all the materials you need for your construction jobs. Both our
Globalization has, for better or worse, altered the economic arena for every country in the world. For many less developed countries, globalization has leveled the playing field so that their economies can compete with the larger, more developed ones such as the United States and other large western economies. For instance, technical engineers in India and China are now just as qualified as engineers in America, but at half the cost. The once large and prosperous service sector in the United States as well as telemarketing services have largely been sourced to India as a large exodus of American multinational corporations find cheaper workers who deliver comparable quality. This then seems to be the essence of globalization - businesses
I will start my presentation with a depiction of what legal and illegal immigration encompass. After, I will talk about the impacts of immigration on America. I will finalize my presentation with the current government actions that are changing the immigration system.
While many domestic institutions play an important role in the globalization process, describe three fundamental policy measures that those countries need to promote in order to benefit from globalization. How would these policies be implemented? How might these policies be promoted?
Conflicting cultures. Does being from multiple cultures that have conflicts with each other benefit or hurt us? Before I answer this question, I would like to ask you another question, “What do you call a hot Indian girl? Bomb Bae.” Before you feel pity for my whole nation, and come under the belief that this sense of humour is applicable to all from where I am from. First let me ask you, where am I from?
Globalization is the process through which the world is slowly but surely getting interconnected. The relation is as a result of the exchange of cultural
‘Explain the meaning of globalization and discuss critically, illustrating with examples, the impact globalization has had on a country, industry, or business of your choice.’
They should continue to seek more business in the UAE. The UAE is not a developed country. Because of oil and banking revenues, The UAE has the most developed economy. Doing business with the UAE includes the difference in presence and language skills and substantial efforts in meetings and marketing. These can make the business relationship between Swedish and the UAE is difficult, but just at the initial time of period. To find, contact, and to communicate with the end customer is something hard to do. The UAE is already a customer of A&T and “was eager to buy, making it and even more interesting situation” (348). Moreover, the UAE also wants to develop a long-term and trustful relationship and future sales. So, S&T should do more business with the UAE.
The process of globalization has numerous significant effects on countries, organizations, and individuals. These effects can be observed in the quality of products, in their prices, but also in their availability. Because of globalization, numerous companies prefer to expand their business on international level. Some of them outsource some of their processes and activities to cheaper destinations that allow them to reduce their investments.
Globalization builds good relationship between countries as they exchange products. Trade agreements like NAFTA, WTO, EU and ASEAN etc. are done to make the tie stronger and for the ease of trading with each other. It helps to avoid conflicts among countries, promotes understanding and goodwill.
Some view globalization as being inevitable and key to our economic future. It has the potential of making societies richer through trade, and creates knowledge and understanding to people around
Globalization offers industries many ways to increase their profits. Since businesses and corporations have access to a wider range of potential clients, they have a chance to increase profits. Global competition also
People around the world are more connected to each other than ever before. Information and money flow quicker than ever. Products produced in one part of a country are available to the rest of the world. It is much easier for people to travel, communicate and do business internationally. This whole phenomenon has been called globalization. Spurred on in the past by merchants, explorers, colonialists and internationalists, globalization has in more recent times been increasing rapidly due to improvements in communications, information and transport technology. It has also been encouraged by trade liberalization and financial market deregulation.
Across the world, globalization is one of the most significant aspects that has occurred over the last fifty years. It allows a country to integrate economically with other countries through a global network comprised of people, trade, and transportation. With the global landscape only becoming more intertwined, globalization and its inherent pros and cons seem to be here to stay. In many areas, global powers tend to lack in rectifying the negative aspects and only focus on the positive side. America, for example, is a leader in the globalization efforts, even though it has greatly effected job opportunities at home, widening income gaps, and an increased standard of living due to fluctuating world markets.
Though the Saudi National holds majority of the interest, he is neither involved in any financial investments nor is he held responsible for any financial liabilities. The Saudi National acts as a silent partner and deals all the government related jobs. The products for doing the business is imported from many countries mainly China. The geographic location of Saudi Arabia with respect to China makes it simple for the business to be done. Nearly 27% of the electrical Equipments for commercial and Industrial usage have been imported from China (http://www.tradingeconomics.com/saudi-arabia/imports). The main mode of transport from china to Saudi Arabia will be shipping. An agency for port clearance and distribution will be used for clearing the items from the seaport and for supplying it to the facility. The fee for the agent is negotiated between the agent and the business owner. This business will be started in as a small scale with 5 employees including Manager, Accountant and 3 sales staff.
The concept of globalization has become a prevalent phenomenon in the past two decades because of the changes it has brought and the adoption of its strategies by multinational corporations or companies. The economic changes of globalization include the strengthening of economic inter-dependence, internationalization of production, and enhanced mobility of transnational corporations. On the other hand, trade liberalization, privatization, and deregulation are the ideological changes emanating from this concept.
