Initial Design As you begin to design your site you need to keep a few key things in mind. This text already covered a purpose for your site. Define your purpose for the site around your target audience. The design, navigation and content should be in line with your audience and their goals. Your site should be clean and appealing. The best design is attractive, easy to read with interesting content. It needs to focus on your purpose. The only way to avoid this is to test your website before you publish it on the web. Isolate those slow elements and fix them. This holds true when you update the site too. Always test before you publish on the Internet. Another area of consideration is mobile access. More and more people are using their phones rather than their computers. In most instances, they are away from their desk when they need to browse. They use their phone to browse. At one time, they were functionally two different entities. Not so today. The easiest and one of the most effective marketing strategies is to push social media customers to your site.
