Interior Design Career Essay

I picked this career path because I enjoy drawing. I also enjoy designing and mapping out structures. I find both of these activities to be very peaceful and fun for me. When I was eight years old, I had the biggest set of Legos. I decided to use them all on one huge house. So I sat down, began to build and I even started mapping it out on paper. I spent nearly an entire day building this mansion and of course, when I was done, I showed my mom. When I showed it to her, she was amazed and the next sentence she spoke was one that stuck with me for years. My mom told me I should be an architect. That moment Nine years ago made me realize what I wanted to do in the future. I thought if designing buildings is a career, that’s what I’m going to do. Interior design and architecture are essential, and often overlooked, aspects of everyday life. In modern society people rely on function, durability, and visual appeal when selecting designs for their homes, businesses, and places of leisure. The way that a space is designed influences such things as mood, which, in the case of a business, can impact the productivity of employees and either draw or repel customers. In residential design, the design becomes very personal and, to be considered a successful design, must properly reflect the home owner while at the same time offering some practicality that makes the space livable. An effective design, for any space, must solve some problem, be it function, flexibility, or some other criteria. Simply solving a problem would not please the customer, however, unless it offered some visual appeal. Creating function with style is the real job of any interior designer, and is essential in a content society.

Life is full of decisions. You have the choice to decide what you want to do for a career. Some may have jobs they wish they could change or made the decision before to have done something differently. The career you choose should be something you love, along with aspects that fit your values the best. Interest, skills, financially that you know you can excel in. A plan for life is important, so it’s best to know or have an idea on what you want to proceed in.

As a developing and growing student, I realize that I need a plan for success, even though that plan may change. At Indiana University Bloomington, I plan to study in the School of Art and Design in order to eventually become an interior designer. While I may change my career choice and area of study, my drive and dedication to achieve excellence will never waver. However, that does not mean that I will not face challenges along the way.

Growing up I was always fascinated by history. I like to imagine my love of history was passed on to me by my grandmother who was both a history major and a history teacher; however, I was never able to genuinely connect with her since she had already passed years before I was born. No matter the case, I reciprocated her passion. I decided that I wanted to pursue a career that involved a more hands on approach appertaining to history aside from teaching. Therefore, I concluded I wanted to ultimately work in a museum. An opportunity to shadow a museum director, a position I hope to be in one day, truly exposed me to that specific environment and sealed my determination like never before in regards to my future.

As a college student, it has been confusing to me on what exactly I want to be. There are so many careers and it is important to get in depth and see the advantages and disadvantages that each career brings. No matter what career anyone chooses it

A career is something everyone should want. With a career you are able to pay things and take care of your family. In my career I plan to be a hairstylist and make-up artist. I’ve want to be a hairstylist/makeup artist since I was ten years old. I love doing hair and makeup to show my different skills. I want to have a good job to be able to support my family and get nice things.

Interior design is a profession that is undertaken academically just like other professional careers. It mainly involves the development and imparting of skills, knowledge and attitudes that pertains the activities undertaken in the building and construction industry. The profession of interior designing goes beyond designing how a structure will look because it incorporates environmental issues especially aesthetic value of the structure to be constructed, the ergonomics, local fire codes and besides studying fundamental design issues and practice in the building and construction industry (Guerin & Thompson, 2014). Something that make me smile, gets me excited, makes me do something is softball. I have played ball all since the day I could walk. I started off playing baseball since I was 2 years old. Then at age 8 I went on to play softball for a select softball team in Pearland. Playing softball has always made me smile! I love the intensity, excitement, and the teamwork that is used to play ball. We all look out for each other and try to pick each other up even when we are not all in the spirit. Some activities that involve science, technology, engineering, and math that I find to be fun is robotics and underwater robotics. Robotics has always been a big part in my life because my dad is a robotics teacher for this school and I always loved playing

My interest in interior design commenced in middle school during a project on various careers. Since then, it has become an ever-developing passion. Interior design has manifested itself into my daily thoughts. I constantly look at my surroundings, wondering what I could do to change the room into a more practical space. This fuels my thirst for further knowledge. The only way to gain this knowledge is to get a degree and learn through practical application. My educational and professional career objectives are to obtain a bachelor of fine arts in interior design and to succeed as a commercial interior designer.

My whole life I have always wanted to do something where people will remember me. I went threw millions of career choices before I came to the conclusion of a nurse. It’s not something that will get me into History books, but its something where all the people I help will remember what I did to care for them or their loved ones. My mom went to school to become and RN, but dropped out when she became pregnant with me. After that story was told to me, I didn’t want to be anything related to nursing. It wasn’t until my step mom went to school to be LPN that I realized it would be possible for me to do. I saw how much happiness it gave her, and I want the same thing. She loved helping the patients by treating them, and helping their families

There are 3 places that i know that could help me achieve and lead me to success .They are carrier development center, Health center and ,writing center . The first one is the career center this helps you in many ways like for students like me that are undecided and don't know what they want to be .This is a recommendation that i had in my orientation back in june they told me this while giving us a tour and told us if we ever need help to go there they really help you decided what major fits you the most and many opportunities we have in life .

For the longest time I could not decide on a major and a career to study throughout college. When I came to Georgia Southern University I discovered that they had a major that was very interesting to me. Sport Management id the ideal major for my interest and me. Since I love sports I figured that this would be the career for me. A degree in Sport Management helps to prepare for success in sport related occupations.

If plan A doesn’t work out then this is were my plan B comes in. My plan B is wanting to become an interior designer. Becoming an interior designer is of interest to me because Interior designing consists of having the ability to be coordinate in many ways

The fashion design career, has recently emerged as one of the most popular and competitive among young people. Those who actually succeed in design have a very individualistic personal style and don’t follow trends set by others. Having fashion design as your profession sometimes allows you to meet glamorous people. It can also put you in charge of what is in and out when it comes to clothing through ramp shows and fashion write-ups. Most designers have a great social status, and are accepted by everyone. However, There are many aspects which may or may not help you choose it as your career.
