During the few years, working conditions have been substandard for the workers and have been affecting them in so many ways. According to the article I read, workers worked hard all day and receive a really wage when their
That being said, the worker's problems did not end once they found steady employment. Employers were harsh and unforgiving in how they treated their employees. For example, if an employee was one minute late they were penalized an hours pay. If they were 20 minutes late they forfeited their employment. Worse yet, if they were injured or hurt on the job the company takes no responsibility and the worker is forced to recuperate on their own time without pay
Foreign citizens who acquire legal admittance to the US and stay in the country for more than the period provided for, as well as those who enter the country without the permission of the government violet the US immigration laws, and hence they are termed illegal immigrants as explains Garrett (2014). According to Krogstad and Passel (2014), the number of illegal immigrants has been steadily rising in America since the first and the Second World War onset. Moreover, immigrants from other regions of the world over went higher about their Mexican counterparts, a peculiar

These foreign-born citizens include refugees and asylum seekers, permanent residents, legal non-immigrants and people living in the country without the correct authorization. Mexicans have been residing in the States for hundreds of years, key developments started in the early 1500s.

Corporations have more bargaining power when hiring foreign workers. Foreigners are getting paid less than native workers (Catamora, 1). This is true, but companies often have to offer these workers more benefits to attract them. The benefits can range from moving and living expenses to jobs for their spouses. The total cost of hiring and employ a foreign worker is more expensive than hiring Americans. The process of visa application is lengthy and expensive. Mazel, an immigration attorney, said “Straightforward cases that should have sailed thru the system are now taking months, if you’re a startup and money is tight. You may think of alternatives than hiring abroad.” (Sugarman, 1). In addition, STEM workers are specifically trained for the job. Every employee is a long-term investment, corporations prefer their investment to stay more than the twenty-nine months that allow. The cost to employ immigrants is too high to be motivated by greed and not by

Watching China Blue Documentary is remembering me about some years ago, when I developed a labour union in Indonesia. Walking to one factory to other factories. Talking to one worker to another. It was the same working and living conditions with the similar low wage. Most the workers who I met came from the villages, they should worked after finished their elementary school. Picked up by the agents that gave them fake identity. Then the workers will live in the similar condition; unsklilled, unknowledgeable, and are alienated in a poverty condition. I supposed it does not only occurr in China or Indonesia, but in many countries in the world.
