Trinidad Mercado Y Alonzo (Trining) was the one who inherited Rizal’s properties in Tayuman. Born in 1868, she died also as a spinster in 1951, at the age of 83. 11. Soledad Quintero Y Mercado (Choleng) was the youngest children of don Kikoy and Dona Lolay. Born in 1870, she was the reason why Dona Lolay was freed from imprisonment. She was married to Pantaleon Quintero and died in 1929. The Rizal family had a simple, contented, and a happy life. In consonance with Filipino custom, family ties among the Rizal’s were intimately close.

In that same year she married her husband, Miguel Domínguez, who was a Corregidor appointed by the Spanish. After marriage, she and her husband, Miguel, moved to the state of Querétaro where he was settled to fulfill his duties. Querétaro was an important state in order for Mexico to achieve independence. Josefa happened to be in the right place at the right time in order for her to achieve her making in history.
