Through life, people experience many kinds of love. Many people often believe they love someone, when they actually do not because they may not know what the word means. An age old question that calls for a strong opinion and emotional connection is the one that asks if true love authentically exists. While some of the concepts presented in true love poems seem more like fairytales than real life, there is still something to be said about to power of true love, whether the feeling be a romantic love, or the simple unconditional love that one feels for a family member. True love is both real and compelling, and even though it cannot be seen, it is all surrounding. Love is the driving force throughout life and without it, the world would be lost and disoriented.

The initiation came with our similarities in music and art. Complimenting one another in the taste of music we had, or in our drawings turned into compliments based on more personal subjects. With this came experimenting, asking about various subjects, mainly checking to see if we had more in common. Once we knew each other for a while we tried intensifying our relationship by dating. This ended in the termination of our romantic relationship. During the dating period, we did say, “I love you.” There was a short downfall in the middle of our friendship because of the breakup, leading to the avoidance of one another for a few weeks. Even with the severed romantic relationship, we managed to keep our friendship intact. I would say that we were as close, if not closer than we were before. If you look at our relationship after high school, you will see much more avoidance occurring. Once college started we had a few issues that eventually ended in the termination of our friendship

They come from rivaling families, so they had to keep their relationship secret. They continue to love each other until a miscommunication occurs and they both end up killing themselves for the sake of the other. The famous “couple” are known for having very strong passion and love for each other, but do they have genuine true love? The relationship between Romeo and Juliet cannot be based on true love because the two do not acknowledge each other's mistakes, their “love” is based on appearance, and everything is rushed.
