I am reporter Jacob Busby and today is a a monumental day in the world of sports. Today is Sunday, February third 2013, also known as Superbowl XLVII. The New Orleans Super dome is filled with purple and red jerseys ready to support the Baltimore ravens and the San Francisco 49ers. I am ready for some football.
It's the first quarter and the ravens won the coin toss. The Ravens decide to differ to the 49ers. it has been a battle between these two teams. You can tell that both teams are nervous, but that soon stopped after the wide receiver Anquan Boldin scored a 13-yard touchdown. After the Ravens scored the 49ers kicked a field goal. This super bowl is going to be a battle of wills and who wants it more. At the end of the quarter the Ravens had a 7-3 lead on the 49ers.
The first quarter has passed and both teams are ready for another quarter. The Ravens have wide receiver Dennis Pitta scored a 1-yard touchdown, and another wide receiver Jacoby Jones has scored a 56-yard touchdown. The 49ers are struggling to get things going on offense. The 49ers scored a field goal. It's the end of the quarter and Baltimore is winning 21-6. Things aren't looking good for the San Francisco 49ers right now.
It's Now halftime and Beyonce is putting on a great show. There are some

The third quarter has just started and both teams are coming out fighting. The Ravens have a great start. Jacoby Jones just scored a record tying 108-yard kick return. The Ravens fans are ecstatic along with the team. After the Ravens scored The power went out in the stadium for 34 minutes. The 49ers are using this time to regroup and get their act together. They definitely regrouped because they just scored 17 points this quarter. Michael Crabtree had a 31-yard touchdown, Frank Gore scored a 6-yard touchdown, and a 34-yard field goal was kicked by David Akers. At the end of the third quarter it was 28-23 with the Ravens still in the
I went to see a great game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers. First they started to flip the coin when Packers called tails and it landed on tails and they chose to receive. The Dallas kicked and Packers gained 19 yards. Then they lost 5 yards or -5 because they got tackled behind the line of scrimmage and its now 2nd and 15. The Packers threw the ball 10 yards and they caught the ball and gained 12 and now have a first down. 1st quarter was over and Green lost 18 yards or -18. Green Bay threw the ball and Dallas intercepted the ball picking up 12 yards before being tackled.
Point by point, the teams battled it out. With three kills in a row by the Illini, the Lions called another timeout. The teams went head to head, until the Lions pushed ahead 24-21. Illini would not back down and fought back to win the game 26-24.
During the first quarter of the game, things went by relatively slow. Both teams remained scoreless, while Tom Brady (Patriots quarterback), and Peyton Manning (Broncos quarterback) struggled to find their way into the end zone. Of course, as the game progressed, both quarterbacks were able to warm up, and Peyton Manning was finally able to find Owen Daniels (Broncos wide receiver) for a 21- yard reception to score the first
The Cleveland Browns traveled to Seattle for a matchup with the Seahawks. It is a rough environment for any team that visits Seattle due to the loud twelfth man. Now, throw in a struggling Browns organization and it seemed pretty obvious who would come out victorious. The outcome was predictable with the Seahawks winning 30-13, but personally I thought the score should have been worse.
The scent of the popcorn and hot dogs rolling around the stadium.I win the toss and select to defer, big game last week we got an easy win but this week won't be easy. This is another big game at 7:30 PM at Martin stadium for the five game home stretch. Third down and nineteen on Boise State's first possession Frankie Luvu comes out of nowhere and hits QB Brett Rypien and he fumbles and Robert Taylor recovers for a touchdown. “TOUCHDOWN COUGS speed D strikes again tick tick boom.” I hear coach Manning scream.
Brady managed to get his first touchdown late in the 3rd quarter but failed on the extra point attempt making it a 28-9 Falcon lead going into the 4th quarter.
The Tigers were down 24-14 at the end of the 3rd quarter, but the “best was yet to come (Dabo Swinney).” The Tigers scored the first 14 points, before the Crimson Tide went up 28-24 with 2 minutes and 7 seconds left. Although I was nervous, I knew the Tigers would be able to pull through. One big play of the drive was when Mike Williams made a leaping catch on a 24 yard pass from Deshaun Watson to the Alabama 39 yard line. With 19 seconds left, Jordan Leggett lunged out and made an amazing fingertip catch to the Alabama 9 yard line. After two failed attempts, Deshaun hit Hunter Renfrow for a two yard touchdown with only one second left on the clock. Clemson then recovered an onside kick to seal the victory. While the Clemson fans were elated, the Alabama fans were stunned. Although I had just watched history being made, I though I was dreaming.
We ended up going down and scoring a touchdown and tieing the game at 7-7. We couldn't have been on defense for much more than a minute if not
By the time we got back it was three minutes left in the game. Score, 7-14, we were losing. If they win, our season is over, but there's still hope. And suddenly, TOUCHDOWN REBELS. So it was overtime. Overtime can be scary, and they had the ball first, but that's ok because
When watching this game, it going to be important to watch the rushing on both ends with Todd Gurley for the Rams and Carlos Hyde for the 49ers. This is where the game will be decided and most people would agree with me, that the Rams have an advantage in this regard. The Rams may seem like the better team on paper, but this game will come down to the wire and will be really close, probably decided on a field goal. The analyst at ESPN have put this game in the favor of the Rams with a -2.5 line. This game will be exciting to watch and highly anticipated by the league as a
As I mentioned earlier, the Packers come into this game struggling. All season, Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been able to create chemistry with his receiving core. The Packers’ receivers drop 4.1 percent of Rodgers passes. The running game hasn’t helped either. Whether it’s Eddie Lacy or James Starks in the backfield, the Packers’ offense hasn’t been able to sustain a consistent running game. One week they look great, the next they look terrible.
The game was a back and forth battle. It finally came down to the final drive. It was getting intense. The Vikings needed to drive down the field and make at least a field goal to extend their season into the postseason. Also, Peterson was closing in on the record. There was a loud riding on this possession. The crowd was nervously excited, but remained quiet to let the offense operate without any distractions. The drive started off well. Peterson rushed for a couple first down and Ponder was in sync with his receivers. The crowd was now much more excited than nervous now that the offense was clicking. But the drive eventually stalled around the twenty yard-line. Peterson was only 8 yards away from the record and it was third down with not much time on the clock. The crowd wanted one more Peterson, but the coach did the smart thing and choose to attempt the field
And this game, at least on paper had a lot going for it. The old pro versus the brash young gunslinging quarterback. One QB a physical phenom, the other moving as if he is put together by bailing wire. A top offense versus a crippling defense. In some ways that 's what you want to see in a Super Bowl.
Then with only a couple seconds left in the quarter the Seahawks also scored once again tying the game. With the Patriots and Seahawks going back and forth I knew it was going to be a really good game and the Patriots were going to have to work extra hard to walk away with the win. So at halftime the score was tied up fourteen to fourteen, the Patriots and the Seahawks looked really even throughout the first half, but I still thought the Patriots were going to take the win. With the start of the second half the Seahawks got a field goal early. With that field goal the Seahawks were only winning by three by that point and I wasn’t really worried. But later on in the third quarter the Seahawks scored a touchdown making the score twenty four to seventeen. With only fifteen minutes left to go in the biggest game of the year being down by ten didn’t look good, but I
Just :20 seconds into the 2nd quarter West attempted a reverse like play to Cody Staggs, that was stuffed by Cole Lowery for no gain. The Pirates defense swarms to the ball as well as any defense that I have watched this season. The first three plays of the drive netted just one-yard. On fourth down Bradford threw a sideline pass to L.T. Maynard, who almost made a great catch
