Jehovah Witness’: Their Distinctive Beliefs Religion is a topic that many people are interested in learning about. It brings many questions, and there are many unknowns that we don’t know about. People question as to where do certain beliefs come from and where certain religions were developed. Religion is a choice in every person 's life. It is like having your own freedom. Having freedom gives every individual the choice to worship and pray to whomever they consider to be their one and only God. The faith denomination gives us the opportunity to be apart of any religion we want and no one can change that view. Religion is self-governed by each person, and every person is entitled to their own beliefs. I was born into the Catholic religion believing and worshipping God, the Virgin Mary, and the saints. Every night I pray the “Hail Mary” and the “ Our Father.” My parents followed the rituals of the sacraments such as my baptisim, first communion, and confirmation. As a grown up I continued to follow the practices of my religion as well as the Catholic beliefs. Christianity has been a religion that has faced many struggles. People judge it, yet it remains strong. Jehovah Witness’ is a religion that many people question and has been greatly judged by many because they don’t believe in the Trinity as we know as “The Holy Spirit.” This group is known for their exclusive beliefs. For example, they refrain from celebrating holidays. What’s the reasoning behind this
For many people, religion is a very touchy subject. For most, it is a personal decision; people choose a faith that aligns with their beliefs, ideas, and faiths. Although people would like to think that religion is a personal decision, and they can adapt it to how they feel and what they believe, in practice, that is not the case. Religion represents a commitment to a set of principles that are not moldable, adaptable, or flexible. Religion, although it may be a personal belief, it is extremely defined, with little to no room for flexibility. If people try to modify their religion to their own beliefs or ideas, the pushback can be severe. The lines in religion and faith as to what is acceptable and what is not acceptable are clear, and

Jehovah Witnesses sprouted out of the west in eighteen seventy nine with a teacher doing bible studies. The teachers name was Charles Taze Russel, he suffered a hard life losing his mother at the age of nine. He was the second son born in Pennsylvania, growing up as Presbyterian. When Russel was sixteen he was disturbed by the concept of hell and how one is trapped there forever, along with the end of the world. The reason he separated from the church was due to the focus on the holy trinity, The holy trinity bothered Russel because in his studies he inferred that jesus wasn't god, like how christianity tells it. Russell inferred that the holy trinity didn't exist because Jehovah was god and was the only god, viewing the normal christian

Each one of us is a unique arrangement of the same elements; above all, we have unique inherent abilities and capacities, and our capacity to perceive and appreciate others can be utilized in either a positive or negative way. Unfortunately, for the individuals, groups, or organizations who are unable to recognize or choose to ignore the uniqueness of others allow themselves to be influenced towards ignorant inclinations and actions. A disposition towards cultural incompetence and stereotypical behavior is one of the contextual components that constitute the nexus of bias and harmful discrimination we see in our society today; indeed, the dominant force pushing aside and excluding those who are vulnerable. For this case study assignment, this student will focus on the scenario involving the 55-year-old woman who is a Jehovah’s Witness and refusing blood. The scenario was chosen because this student has experienced a similar situation when providing care for a young Jehovah’s Witness patient in the intensive care unit (ICU) setting.
