According to the reporter, Anthony lives with his mother in TX, but visits his father in MS one week during the holidays and one week during the summer. The reporter is unsure when the child will return to the stated to visit his father or when he last came to the state for his visit. Ms. Nichols stated information was received at her agency reporting when Anthony is in MS with his father he’s physically and emotionally abused. Per the reporter, Mr. Cotton yells and screams at the child, he washes his face with a lot of soap and it gets in his eyes, he hits him, and drags him across the floor. A report was received on 06/05/2017 alleging that the mother (Hermionne) left Ashante (C-V 17) with a non-relative since 02/2017 without any legal rights. According to the report, the mother refuses to take her child back home and will not engage with Ms. Aarons (caretaker) to provide legal documentation for the child to be enroll in school and taken to a Primary Care Physician. Ashante has not been is school for the past 4 months and are unable to enroll in school without paperwork. According to the report, Ashante self mutilates her arms, and the mother refuses to get counseling. The report indicates Ashante was to follow-up with a Cardiologist for a chest pain and the mother refuses to take her to the doctor.
EREPORT # 19021 stated the following: The incident happened last night, 2/8/2016. Destiny's mother has "taken off" as evidenced by empty drawers and closets. Destiny stayed home alone all night by herself. The concern is that Destiny is not supposed to be alone with her dad, per DHS. PER REPORTER: Ariyanna is in DHS custody. Reporter was in a session with the child today. She said a neighbor (Ann Moore) is at the home often with her children. Ann has two children in her home. Ann choked Ariyanna on two different occasions, pushed her head into the washing machine, and screamed at her. This has happened twice. Reporter observed a scar on the child's neck today. She said it was from Ann's long fingernails when Ann scratched her. Ariyanna said she didn't know where the foster parent was at first then said she was in her bedroom. 3:20pm- IRTC spoke with assigned CPS, Oneeka Peters, who reported that the subject child was interviewed at the Brooklyn CAS on 3/21/17 and there was substantial disclosure of possible sex abuse. CPS expressed that Detective Ruby was present and he reported that he does not think the alleged subject is the foster parent’s ex-husband, but there was a brother (foster parent’s relative) who frequented the home during the timeframe the child was referring to. CPS expressed that the subject child stated that the alleged subject was the foster parent’s husband, but there were questions as to who she was actually identifying. PER REPORTER: Charlie said today five year old Makiyah was brought into the emergency room in Chicago, IL by her mother. He said the child was brought in due to the child disclosing to her mother that while she was in Mississippi in the care of her grandmother (Felicia) she was abusing her. Charlie said he was told that Makiyah has been in Chicago, IL with her mother for a week now due to the child’s aunt dropping her off with her mother. Charlie said to his understanding the child was randomly dropped off with her mother by her aunt due to Felicia no longer being able to care for the child. Charlie said the child’s mother told him that Makiyah was staying with Felicia in Mississippi until she got everything together for the child to be able to come and live with her. However, he said according to the child’s mother the child will be staying with her and will not be going back to stay with her grandmother.
The reporting party (RP) disclosed that Taylor Trusheim DOB: 4/3/99 was brought into Sutter/Yuba Behavioral Health for a Triage appointment to assess for possible services. Prior to the appointment Taylor's mother La Vonne Bettencourt received a call from a family member who brought up an incident which occurred when she was 4 years old. The family member mentioned an incident where the child was molested by the daycare provider's husband Bret Baker. Subsequently the mother discussed the information with Taylor who confirmed the molestation. The confirmation alarmed the mother who recalled the last day the child was at the daycare. On that day after pick up 4 year old Taylor, the mother felt uneasy regarding an incident which occurred. According
IRTC spoke with assigned CPS, Leslie Johns, who reported that she made a visit to case address and she was able to observe one subject child who was free of visible injuries. CPS stated that the alleged subject was arrested due to concerns regarding another adult. CPS added that she tried meeting with the other children but the parents of three of the children are not retuning her call and another parent had to confer with her husband before make a decision regarding a visit. At this time, this case will to be enhanced to an IRT.
