Stacy and Kathleen Peterson were murdered by Drew Peterson but the fear they felt towards Drew tortured his murder trial and proved crucial in his conviction of their murder. Their words came to life through three witnesses who conveyed Stacy's and Kathleen's remarks to jurors. Hearsay evidence, or what one person tells another outside a courtroom setting. Kathleen once told her sister Sue Doman that Drew said, “he will kill her and make it look like an accident”. Months later Kathleen was found dead in her bathtub, medical examiners ruled it to be an accidental death at first but then changed their ruling to it being a homicide once further investigation went into the case. Pastor Sherry took the stand for Stacy. Stacy told their pastor that …show more content…
Some may argue that Stacy was under stress about her rocky relationship with drew and her financial stability if they were to get a divorce but that was all statements drew made during interviews. Drew stated, “Stacy was under stress about our relationship she is out right now where she wants to be having fun and living life care free.” Drew also stated Stacy would do anything for money but Stacy divorce lawyer stated otherwise he told the court Stacy never implied about money during their meetings but instead Stacy did tell him Drew killed Kathleen. Not once did Stacy tell any of her close friends or relatives that she was stressed about money. Although Stacy aunt has made statements about how Stacy looked stressed when she went to visit her, Stacy never told her aunt that she was stressed but she did tell her aunt she feared for her life. After Stacy's sister death her aunt came to visit her. She recalls drew coming into the bedroom trying to make Stacy leave with him but instead Stacy pleaded for drew to leave her alone and begged her aunt to sleep with her that night and not to leave her side. That’s when Stacy aunt knew something was

When she woke up, she walked out of the woods, where couples comforted her until she found her husband and finally the police. (Possley).
Chung has been operating under what he feels are the established norms for his culture. Ted's relationship with the Taiwanese client exhibits the Chinese management principles of paternalism, particularism, and insecurity. The patron-client relationship is based in a sense of mutual obligation, where the client is expected to defer to Ted's expertise and Ted is expected to trade the account responsibly. (Moorhouse, 2005) Ted also used social networking to establish himself in the community which is expected in the Chinese culture. By attending events Ted increases his “visibility and prestige” which contributes to the face that is needed to be considered a trustworthy business partner

In 1982, Ann Hopkins was a senior manager at Price Waterhouse, who was nominated for a partnership position in the firm. Based on partner wide voting, it was decided that Ann’s election to partner should be put on hold and eventually, she was told that she would likely never be promoted. (Badaracco,1) With the belief that she had no other options, Ann decided to sue Price Waterhouse. Hopkins believed that she wasn’t promoted because of gender discrimination and argued that the criticism about her interpersonal skills was fabricated. (Badaracco,29) Even if she was being held back because of her interpersonal skills, she stated that male counterparts who had similar interpersonal problems were still promoted. (Badaracco,29) Finally, she asserts that the claims against her, stem from the fact that partners found her interpersonal skill lacking or deficient based on stereotypical gender norms that she didn’t adhere to. (Badaracco,29) On the other hand, the firm argued that having good interpersonal and leadership skills were vital for partners. (Badaracco,29) The district court affirmed Price Waterhouse’s argument that interpersonal skills are an integral part of the partnership evaluation criteria and it also concluded that the complaints against Ann’s social skills were not fabricated. (Badaracco,29) However, the court agreed with Hopkins that her chances of getting promoted were diminished by the fact that sexual stereotyping was a consistent component of the partner
There are jobs that operate 24/7 and require you to work shifts and be unsupervised. Often the supervisor does not know whether the work is being done. To say the least, whether the employee is actually at work. Also, when the performance appraisal is due, the supervisor has not adequately monitored, made judgments, and provided feedback to the employee about their performance on that shift because the supervisor does not work during those hours (Davis, Capozzoli, Parks, 2009).

I am writing the memo to share some issues I have with one of my employees. Ten moths ago I hired a salesman with Chinese origin to help the company to take over the Chinese businesses in Plano, Texas. I cannot “click on personal level” with him since the very beginning of our relationship which is causing troubles in our communications. Another reason for our communication problem could be the different cultural background we have and our opposite personalities. I believe employees should be able to connect to their leader to become good followers. I think I am extrovert and should be able to get closer to him over time but there are some other issues that I
