Also, the value-add that L’Oreal gets to its brand is immense, considering that the every student, especially among the women, is a potential customer. Also since it is a very different strategy compared to those used by other companies, it results in recruits who think in a different manner vis-à-vis the recruits of other companies. Thus, there is always a chance that the future marketing strategy of L’Oreal will be out of the box. It also gives students a feel of how the beauty industry functions. The main disadvantage that comes to mind is an ethical issue. Since the students do not play the games in a controlled environment, there is always the possibility that the students use external help. So their contribution does not end up being a true reflection of their ability. Also since the games are played in small groups, the ability of the individual to work in a team cannot be ascertained to a desired level at first glance. Another issue being that in a virtual environment it is very difficult to determine the ability of the student to communicate in the first person. With regards to equal employment opportunities, there are issues regarding requirements to be met by competitors.
