My LSAT score in no way represents my future promise. I come from a immigrant family, where our first language is not English. I have worked very hard to do well in school, but I have never been able to do well on standardized tests, such as the LSAT or SAT. No matter how many hours I devote to studying, I have never been able to excel on any type of standardized tests. But just because I did not perform well on standardized test, does not mean I will not perform well in future endeavors. My college transcript is a excellent example of how I did not do well on my SAT, yet I still managed to succeed in my undergraduate studies.
In April of 1976 it was found that there was a possibility that over half of the junior class at West Point Academy had violated the West Point honor code by cheating on a case assignment. The honor code states "A cadet will not lie, cheat, or steal, nor tolerate those who do." This was by far the largest violation of the honor code in West Point history and presented some unusual challenges to the administration. As the year dragged on it was found that more and more students possibly had cheated on the assignment and was also becoming a public relations nightmare in the press and internally to the Army branch of the United States military.

North Carolina's long-running academic fraud scandal now includes five NCAA charges, including a lack of institutional control for poor oversight of an academic department popular with athletes and the counselors who advised them.
“Psss What is the answer for number 4?”; almost every single time I took an exam as a Yeshiva University student I remember a subtle whisper enter my ear with intentions of getting an answer from me, proving that at least once which proves that at least one person in the class is currently cheating. So, I want to ask the simple question of why? What makes students particularly at yeshiva university try to scam the system and cheat? Why as a school that represents the Jewish philosophy which deliberately looks down on cheating, people are not able to respect the system and show honesty during exams ? Furthermore; students here are sometimes in a situation where they are lying to themselves. There are a lot of different perspectives of why
I believe that you shouldn’t reveal your dreams to anyone =. Revealing your dream causes a person to be less motivated in accomplishing their dreams. I learned this lesson 3 years ago.
Statistically, I should be a failure. I am three times more likely to become a teen parent than those with mothers who did not have children in their teens. I am more likely to have a mental illness than my peers because of the absence of a steady father figure in early childhood. Due to my poor financial status during a large part of my life, I am less likely to succeed in school and more likely to go to jail. No statistics could have predicted that I would be sitting in a room with the best of my peers debating bills at Alabama Girls State.
I want to achieve by participating in the New York Cares SAT Prep program because I need this program to help me with the English skill very much. I immigrated to the US from China 3 years ago. It was a difficult way to me to accept and learn a new language. It took me 2 years to pass ESL from when I only knew very little English words. However comparing to other students who born or live here for long times, my English skill is still very low. I still have to many shortages of English skill to improve in order to catch up the level of being a real English speaker. I real want to go to a good college in order to have a better learning enviroment and education. I believe that that will be the first step of being successful. And I also believe
The former president of Sarah Lawrence College stated that “We are a writing-intensive school, and the information produced by SAT scores added little to our ability to predict how a student would do at our college; it did, however, do much to bias admission in favor of those who could afford expensive coaching
Personal Statement “Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.” Once said by Norman Vincent Peale. To start, I believe that I should be admitted and will succeed at The University of Iowa with the deficiency of a world language and the current grades on my transcript because it is said on my IEP that I did not have to take a foreign language, I am committed to work hard my senior year, and that I am more than just a GPA and test score.
Similarly, in all of my summative assessments this year, I have never received a grade below meeting expectations. However, in the years past there have been a few occasions where I have been given a grade that I was not happy with. When that happened, I reflected on what I did wrong, participated in the re-assessments and was able to bring my grades up. I am now prepared to put in a lot more effort in the years to come as I know there are no re-assessments in high school. I acknowledge that the standards are much higher in high school and I am ready to work much harder to
Colleges can consider high school GPA as the alternative for test scores. Almost all of the schools during admission completely overlook high school GPA. William C. Hiss, a principal investigator of Defining promise, declares “High school grades matter, and they matter a lot” (Maitre, par.2). It is not fair for many students like Ms. Casimir, a sophomore attending Wake Forest University, who scored 1580 in SAT. This was “an embarrassment” as she graduated high school “with a 4.0” (Simon, par.10). Her dreams to go to “Cornell” and “Davidson” was shattered but yet she was admitted by the “Wake Forest University which gave her full ride without seeing her SAT score and she has 3.2 GPA now” (Simon, par.10). It’s not a miracle as diligence and
As one may see on my transcript, my grades may not be entirely perfect but I worked very hard this semester to prove, to myself and to others, that the girl from a country in Africa could be a leader among her mates from more developed countries and I put in tremendous effort to get the highest grades. I'm not excellent with figures, but I’m not relenting in my efforts to doing better. I am focused, ambitious and I believe in reaching for the stars because these attributes have been instilled in me as a child. Furthermore, I've been surrounded by people that overcame obstacles like my mother, who became the first female in her current position at the Central Bank of Nigeria which is equivalent to the Federal Reserve. Furthermore, I am appreciative of the opportunities I have, which

In highschool, when it comes around being a junior year many juniors are stress because that's the time when they have to take the ACT or SAT test which at the end the score depends their future. Being a junior and taking the ACT or SAT and getting a splendorous score is the goal for many students but what happens if some students do try but they didn't get a good score as others. Those who got a great score would be able to go to all these prestigious colleges, but
