Have you ever felt like you were flying? Jumping off a 60 ft rock will definitely give you the rush. Chimney Rock has been known as the best place to have fun at on Lake Martin. Thirteen was the age that had no limits. I was finally a teenager, So free-falling sixty feet into water sounded tempting. My family lived in Montgomery at the time and we went to Lake Martin on rare occasions. I heard about the Chimney Rock at school, So I knew I had to try it out this summer.

Moraine Lake is a man made lake, located in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. The surface elevation is approximately 6181 feet above sea level. The lake is home of grizzly bears, ground squirrels, parrots and many other animals. The lake got its name from the “moraine”, a pile of glacier rocks and boulders that were formed by the Wenkchemna Glacier next to the lake. The lakes bright, blue-green color is from the light reflecting off the “rock floor.” The lake usually doesn’t open until June, when it starts melting, through early September. Moraine Lake was discovered by Walter Wilcox, a college student at Yale, hired by Tom Wilson to help map out the area around Lake Louise. Wilcox went out in search for a new route up Mount Temple. There have been many discussions involving the drainage of Lake Powell, but with each argument there is reasons why we should keep it or why we shouldn’t. In the year of 1963 Lake Powell officially became a recreational park and known as one of the largest man-made reservoir in the United States. The dam was built for the advantage of having water stored for other states who might need it. In the year 1963 two diversion tunnels in the Glen Canyon dam were closed in order to begin Lake Powell to fill. Throughout the years the water levels of Lake Powell have lowered, causing people to worry that this lake is diminishing rather than a benefitting the environment. By 1980 Lake Powell was at its ‘full pool’ which was

A bit chilly at the lake's edge under the night sky, but I like the sound, water splashing against the formation of boulders. I like the universe the stars and galaxies. A dark open sky above the water illuminated by the millions of stars. The mountains display an appearance of watching over the lake. That's why I love it here at the loading docks at water's edge and the parking lot where the ravens fly by. Although evil has settled in here on the land and in the sky so under the waters. This beguiles me to reshape my thinking to this knowledge. Consequently weighting the discrepancies, I may never come back to lake ponder. Lake Ponderay is no longer my sanctuary or safe haven. Looking up at the night sky, one of the probes traveled off
