There is always confusion on whether culture and language go hand in hand. Culture is something that is brought through years of tradition and it is something that we are born with. We are born with doing things a certain way because of our culture . Language is the method of of human communication, although language can be viewed as a way to maintain and convey culture and cultural ties it does not necessarily make up someone 's culture.
Right from infancy a child is able to adapt from what they come in contact with. In the 21st century there are many factors that can influence someone 's cultural preference and the way they speak, such as media, peer pressure, experiences, enlightenment etc. As Tan stated in Mother Tongue...“ Sociologists and linguists probably will tell you that a person 's developing language skills are more influenced by peers” (209). Language is more based on what we surround ourselves with as where culture is more based on identity. Your culture is something you are born into similar to your identity in which you are raised into.
Culture can be viewed as activities that bring a group of people together. For example they can be activities such as art or faith. Culture has nothing to do with the way a person speaks rather the practices that bring a community or group together. You can speak a language and still feel like you do not belong, vice versa, you can be part of a culture and still feel like you do not belong. As
The concept culture have some difficult meanings. One of them is culture as in music, preforming, theatre and so. The other meaning of it is culture as in Peoples Identity. It tells something about who you are, where you come from, and what you believe in, in this way, we can see that People

What is culture? Culture is something you and a group of people share that are similar to one another. A culture is a way of life for a group of people and their behaviors, beliefs, values, and symbols that they accept, generally without thinking about them. The language we speak, the art, literature, and the heritage we are proud of, our food, our festivals, and our customs and traditions together form our culture. They
Culture is a set of ideals and values about life that are widely shared among people and that guide specific behaviors. Differences, as well as similarities, can be seen when comparing world cultures. We communicate with each other, we feed ourselves with food, and when we sleep we often dream. However, we speak different languages, eat different types of foods, and dream different ways. We call these cultural differences. What causes them is not always obvious to the ordinary person (Nancy). I feel culture is what really sets us apart from each other and what makes us unique as individuals and families.
I believe culture is the attitudes and feelings a group of people share. Culture can include practices like rituals and customs like religion. It is how you eat, drink, and speak. Culture can be either tacit or explicit. Tacit is very much like an unspoken behavior, it is something people lack words for. Explicit culture can be spoken or written. No matter what category culture falls into it truly makes us different from one another. It is everywhere shaping people all around the world every day.
Language is related to culture because I believe that a language influences people’s culture and it is also the way that people express themselves in their culture. We use language to demonstrate how we see, participate in, and how we learn from the world.
Culture, by my opinion, consists of the beliefs, morals, and traditions one is raised with. It’s not created out of nowhere; it is passed on from generation to generation. There are many cultures, mine being Mexican-American. My customs and beliefs come from a mix of both, not either one or the other.
Culture is essentially a learned way of life. Typically, people within the same culture speak the same language, eat identical foods, share common values, and also behave and think in a similar ways.
I think culture is a property of a group that shares the learning that the members have experienced in their efforts to survive, grow, and remain internally integrated. But what would happen if a culture interacts with another group different form theirs? Well, that´s what we call cultural blending. Each time a culture interacts with another, it is exposed to ways of life not exactly like its own. Societies that are able to benefit from cultural blending are those that are willing to adapt and change.
Culture is a way of life of a group of people, the behaviors, beliefs, values, and symbols that they accept, generally without thinking about them, and that are passed along by communication and imitation from one generation to the next. Culture can be seen in our food, religion, family structure, and more. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. My parents were born in Mexico. Well my whole family were born in Mexico. We are just any hispanic family. My cultural identity is pretty much the basic hispanic culture. We do everything that involves having fun and being with family.
Culture is defined as asocial heritage of a group; it influences how people communicate with each other. Also referred to as the cumulative deposit experience, values, customs often affected by religious beliefs, it varies from one community to the other, it is transmitted through language and arts, from one generation to the next.
Language is found all around us. It can be found in what we say as well as in everything we read. Language is all the ways in which we communicate with others. Since birth, language has always been around us from where we grew up to where we are currently living. Due to language being different across areas and regions of the globe, language can tell a lot about where a person grew up. The concept of language telling a lot about the ways an individual was raised can be seen in my own life, as well as in Carmen Fought’s article through peoples accents and the dialect from the region in which they grew up.
Culture by definition is the identity or feeling of belonging to a group. It is part of a person's self-conception and self-perception and is related to nationality, ethnicity, religion, social class, generation, locality or any type of social group that has its own distinct culture. To me that definition couldn't be more spot on but let's go more in depth over the past few months in my English class we have been trying to learn what our culture is and what part culture plays in our daily lives so in this essay I will be sharing with you what I think culture is what it means to me and how I think it impacts our way of living and the way we look at each other as human beings and how we treat each other and how all this makes up my culture
Culture is a way of life. It can be defined as a group of people linked by geographical location, ethnicity, gender or age. Culture can be reflected through language, clothing, food, behavior, spirituality and traditions. The behavioral patterns developed through culture are difficult to change.
First, the language variety that you speak as a native language is closely tied to the geographical identity. Because body language is also a part of language, which helps other people in the society identify an individual from others. To maintain respectful social standards in the society, a person is responsible in developing a self-identity that is unique from the others. Language is a key for everyone, a key that would aid in conforming to new society and new people. Without language, culture would not exist. “We pass ideas, knowledge, and even attitude on to the next generation” using language. Without the ability to communicate, knowledge from one
