The time I went to Las Bahamas was a very special time for me and my family. In there I had a lot of good memories but I think that some are more special that others. It was are second day there, and me and my brother were woken up by nooks. After the hundred nook, I got my lacy ass up and drag my feet to the door. When I opened the door I sow that it was my persons. My dad started scrumming at us about how late it was and why we were still asleep. They came inside the room and stared talking about the plans for the day. After that I got a tallow and hided to the restroom to tack a shower. When I got in the shower the water was wormed but all of the sadden it got very hot. As the hot water touch my skin I stared to jump and
We had been waiting for this trip for years. Every 5 years we go on a trip to someplace fun. When five years passed after our trip to disneyland we were all waiting to go on some other adventure. I had done this twice, but 2 things about our trip this year were special.
When I went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee I was with my parents, grandparents, my brother, and my cousin Savannah. I got to go to all the little shops, Dig through rocks, and I remember honking through this tunnel we drove in. I guess it was tradition. I remember going to a mini amusement park where we rode go carts. I also remember going to the Titanic museum. I remember touching the ice wall and seeing all the sunken objects. I also remember seeing the grand staircase. I remember it feeling super heavy and emotional
The most vivid memory I recall is of the first trip I ever made to my happy place, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Nothing could ever compare to those 5 days of pure happiness, without a single worry in the world. I truly believe this one little trip shaped the way I want to live the rest of my life.
The most memorable one was the Western wall. I had never experienced anything like it. I was surrounded by people who were part of all different cultures and religions, coming together at this one place all for the same reason. This landmark was packed full of people. But not in the usual way like when walking around New York City. People were still pushing and shoving but it was not because they were in a hurry it was because they were eager to be apart of their religion and heritage and to feel close to their family and ancestors. All around the western wall people sing and dance together. Even if you do not know the person next to you, for those next few minutes it certainly feels as though you do. The other students and I who traveled to Israel spent the next few hours at the wall observing and taking part in the religious events. My favorite part of being at the wall was coming together with everyone and dancing. For a solid twenty minutes everyone one the women’s half of the wall sings and dances together. I am not one to sing and dance in front of people I do not know but in this instance I did not feel uncomfortable about it at all. The emotions of everyone around you at the wall are overwhelming. Many people cry because they have never felt so close to their heritage. Visiting the western wall not only taught me but showed me that there are certain places in the world and certain times in life were everyone can be unified. This improved my literacy and was a sponsor to me because of the different types of people I got to see and also by physically getting to be at the wall and experiencing the history and culture that it signifies and
It was carrying a lot of people from all over the world. I have never been so excited in my life to go to one place. The anticipation was so overwhelming and once again, I could not wait to get to the resort. After a twenty minute bus ride we got to the resort. Once I stepped off the bus I could remember seeing the beautiful palm trees and feeling the heat of the sun beating on my face. I said to my dad, finally we made it and let the fun begin. We got settled and checked into the hotel. My brother and I decided to check the rest of the resort out. The resort had a crystal clear pool with a bar in it. It was amazing and I have never seen anything like it before in my life. The resort also had ten gourmet restaurants and plenty of entertaining things for us kids to do. So, after we did this we went back to our hotel and stayed in for the night. We were beat and just wanted to get some sleep from the long day of
Driving across the golden gate bridge is a sight to see. Well it is a site o see if you can see through the layers of thick fog and if your car sat up high enough you could see out over the bridge. The air was not freezing, but there was a chill in the breeze that gave me goose bumps. Driving down crooked roads, and eating the sourdough bread instead of the soup inside it are special memories. It was a few days in San Francisco last summer that gave me a love for somewhere other than home.
My first trip to Disney World, now that, that was a memorable trip. That trip was one of the most magical and happiest memories of my life. It was back in 2008, I had just turned 6 years old a few months before we left to go there. It was summertime, and the weather was perfect. I remember being so bored on the way there because I am an only child so I didn’t have anyone to entertain me besides myself. My mom’s side of the family went on this trip with us, and at the time I was the only grandkid, and the only kid at all. So once we finally were almost there I remember passing the big ‘Welcome to Disney World” sign and being so excited I peed my pants--my mom was pretty mad, but my dad thought it was kinda funny so I didn’t get in too much trouble.
We were at the border between Mexico and America. I had never been here before and I was anxious. There were so many police walking around. We were going to the place where my dad lived when he was younger. This has shaped me into the person I am today because I saw how hard it is to live over there. I met a lot of my relatives. The food over there was so much better.
The best trip I ever took was when my husband and I went to La Romana in the Dominican Republic. It was beautiful there.
My best moment was when i went to the Florida Keys over Christmas break in 2015. It was a two week trip just on our way to the Keys. On our way we stopped at the Creation Museum down in Kentucky and we stayed at my grandpa’s house in Maranatha Village down in Sebring Florida. When we finally got down to the Keys i couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. The water was that beautiful blue color and there was nothing but colorful coral and crystal blue water everywhere. When we got to where we were staying it was packed. There were more campers than we could count. The campground was on it’s own little island on the highway. My dad used to work there while my grandpa sang for an audience in the outdoor bar by the pool and hot tub. When i went to
My family has gone on many vacations, but the vacation to Cancun over Thanksgiving is the one I will always remember. My grandma took our whole family on a vacation to Cancun. There were many interesting events that took place on this trip that I will always remember. Every morning waking up to the amazing view of the ocean with the waves roaring to shore. We would spend our days hanging out by the pool and riding the massive waves at the beach. Playing basketball in the pool with the family is a circus trying to score.
After days of being in that horrible box, it was finally opened, my hope had come true…. Or so i thought. We move further down below the deck and to my disappointment it got a lot worse. We were chained to these wood plains and had to lay down right next to each other (every inch of my body touching someone else's). It was so uncomfortable, but that wasn’t even the worst part…. It smelled horrible, liking taking everything in the world that smells bad and mixing it up together. This was because many had vomit due to the poor conditions not only that but you had to pee right there and then. Also, since we were in the sea… everyone one was getting toss around like toys which cause many to be sea-sick. All we can do now is pray … well not even that because all our energy was gone. We didn't have energy because we didn’t get fed and when we did it was the most awful rice and beans that look so nasty it makes you want to gag. I was tired and shut my eyes for a bit… when i opened them i noticed my friend was died, it made me cry so much; but i shortly stop because a crew member unchained me and took me out of the room. I was escorted to a room filled with white men they all used me like a toy and then made me witness a man getting hit with a whip on the back. Me not being the smartest decide to go and try to help but end up getting hit myself which hurt really bad. They would do dreadful
My second trip to California was an unforgettable experience that was important due to all of the locations I got to visit, all of the knowledge I now have from this trip, and all of the memories I made with my family. I think everyone should try their hardest to go on a trip with their family because it is such a contrast to small-town Iowa, and you get so many bonding and learning opportunities. Now you can go back to imagining sitting on that beach and riding that rollercoaster, and wishing you were there right
As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a good impression. I have a place that not only made a good impression, it changed me. It made me think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought all though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special. Waking up early in the morning and driving the long trip there, going through forests, valleys, and cities.
There are certain memories that we have that we can remember like they happened yesterday. Many of those memories that have special meaning to me were of family vacations when I was young growing up with my brothers and sisters. Family memories are important to many of us because they take us back to a time or place that was special. One particular family vacation I remember vividly, and it’s a story I have shared with my kids on many occasions. Over the 40 or more years since that memorable vacation, I still smile and think how lucky I was growing up with a mother and father that did everything to give their kids an unforgettable memory.
