Life sucks. It doesn’t who you are; rich, poor, tall, short, thin, fat, muscular, etc., life will always find a way to kick you in the teeth, beating you down until you just wanna tap out and then some. But there there are two types of people in this world that reacts to this, one is to give up and let life go out of control and let it ruin you, or someone can take the hit and keep moving forward. I just so happened to be in the first category When I was very young, I was very spoiled by my parents, so naturally I had a lot of trouble and hardships going from being a spoiled lazy brat to a responsible, hard working individual. I could start by my laziness, big surprise, I tended to procrastinate and try my best to avoid hard work as much
All my life I have been a lazy person, doing just enough to get by. Most of the time, in high school, I was content with just a “C”. The only time I wasn’t, was if it was a class I liked, and I paid attention to. If this was the case, I could have received a 99% on a test and been dissatisfied. But, for the rest of my classes, which were most of my classes, that I didn’t like, I never paid attention to or did homework, and I still managed to do well on tests. So basically I didn’t do anything except take tests and I still got satisfactory grades. In school I was so lazy that there could have been a project due worth about 20% of the final grade and I still wouldn’t do it.
Kickstart Kids is an amazing program that has impacted my life and others around me in many different ways. Kickstart has helped me become the leader I am today, it has helped my shyness and make new friends, build my confidence and finding a passion that I love to do. I can start by saying how this program has impacted my life. Kickstart has helped me become a better leader because I can help out in classes and teach students everyday. I can also help out at my school and get involved to be the difference in the school. I can make new friends by going out and getting involved in things and meeting new people. I can meet people in this program that share the same love for the sport as I do. The Kickstart Kids program has helped me build my
“The city was hidden by that awful cloud . . . boiling up, mushrooming, terrible and incredibly tall," said Colonel Paul Tibbets, pilot of the modified B-29 bomber that dropped the world’s first atomic bomb over Hiroshima. The bombings resulted in the death of thousands, including not only Japanese citizens, forces, and military but also American captive soldiers. In the midst of World War II the United States forced Japan to surrender by dropping bombs in the major cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They released the second atomic bomb shortly after, in Nagasaki, Japan.
Royalton High School follows a 7 period day schedule, 50 minutes class periods, typically 5 days a week beginning at 8:15am and ending at 3:22pm. A regularly scheduled day consists of seven four minute passing periods and a 15 minute homeroom at the end of the day. Homeroom is not considered as a scheduled class, and even though it is not required, it is still beneficial to many students. The sole purpose of homeroom is to inform students of extracurricular activities, scholarships and college visits, the announcements, and reduce class absences.
4-H is growing more than just plants. By enriching the lives of the youth with science, citizenship, and health, the club is planting qualities that will help and inspire our future leaders.
have you ever been at recess and it's over in a blink of an eye? The subject I will be discussing is if we should get more time at recess. The issue I chose is relevant because kids doesn’t get enough time in recess. The purpose or reason why I chose to discuss this topic is, because we need more time to get to the places we need such as a class or office. I am a credible speaker because of how this issue affects me. this issue affects me because I am a kid who wants and needs more recess. I think we should have longer recess, because we need more time to go to the places we need to go. we can socialize more with friends. Then we can get ready for the next class.
There are soccer moms, stay-at-home moms, working moms, “cool” moms, and many other types that are at war with each other on how to raise children. Along with the many types of moms, there are hundreds of different types of kids. There is no reason for one parent to tell another on how to raise their child, because each kid is unique. On the finish line, I don’t think it matters how many soccer games the mom went to or if the child was sent to daycare. The quality time that mothers and children from 0-18 has an impact on the child’s life. However, the amount of time that they spend together does not have much of an influence for the future.
Recess is an important amount of time for kids in school. Recess is a time in a kids school day where you go outside and have fun and play. It has been argued that some people disagree for kids to have recess. However, recess should be a part of all kids school day because recess helps create social and other developments for kids. Also, recess helps kids pay attention in class.
During my middle school years, I was slacking. I didn't want to do work. I would procrastinate so much it was like riding on a roller coaster that always went down. I would go home, my
I grew up as a farmer's daughter, therefore I worked on the farm, even when the tasks were tough. Because of this, I learned at a young age a lesson that will stay with me until the day I die, when you start something, you finish it. No matter how difficult the task is, no matter how long it takes, you will fight through it and get the job done no matter what. Though multiple hot and sweaty hours, I built myself a well-rounded work ethic. I have learned to conquer anything that is thrown my way. Whether that was driving a tractor for endless hours or getting a A on my test, I have learned that I have to work for everything and anything in my life. However much work I put into something is exactly the outcome in which I
At the last Local Board of Education meeting, it was stated that the "Grade Buddies Program" is in the process of being eliminated. I was deeply sadendd and disppointed that the school district has decided in moving fowrd to cut the Grade Buddies cirriculium. This is the very class that promotes connectivty to both elmenatry and middle school students. The program was created to ease the trasnsiton of the lesuires of elemtaryty school to the hectic and merciliss world of Middle school. The social interaction, maturity, and ablity to provide inshight on higher level edcuation make a profound impact on the younger elemtary school students. The Grade Buddies Program, has been in place for over fifteen years, and has been overseen by both the Elemtary and Middle school parents
The A bomb AKA “Little Boy” is the 10th biggest bomb in the world! There is a concern that the A bomb should have not been dropped because it killed up to 80,000 innocent people. The U.S warned japan that they were going to drop the bomb, but japan did not listen to the threat. Researched evidence proves, that the atomic bomb is one of the deadliest bombs out there.
Growing up, I have always heard the adults around me talking about the laws and policies to save the Earth, and the controversies that came from them. At the time, those conversations were way over my head, but now they fuel my current ideas about the Earth and its oceans. While in Key Largo, I hope to learn how the many scientists involved in the upkeep of the world use their skills to help our oceans, so that I can create an earth-friendly lifestyle for myself and others. The poor state of our Earth and its oceans is a problem caused by every country, business, and person, and unless every person helps, it will continue to be an ever-present problem. After all, we only have one Earth. If we destroy it, we won’t receive another one.
My life shifted completely when my father’s job relocated. Typically, in common Anglo American sitcoms and romantic movies, the father’s job must move far away and his daughter must leave her summertime love and wait for him to write her every day for a year but then have her never receive any messages. But I am not Caucasian, this is not The Notebook, and boys are not that committed these days. At the beginning of the year my father who works for the popular entertainment news show, Access Hollywood, moved from Burbank to Universal City. Who knew that that enormous move would have such a great impact on who I am as a person? My father and I revisited the now semi-abandoned lot of the old NBC Studios a few months after the move; not knowing
Two months before my graduation from high school, with nowhere to live and nowhere to go; I had no choice but to live and work out of my car. During the days I would go to school and tried to act as normal as possible. Evenings and nights I worked as a postmates delivery driver. Some days I had to choose between work or homework, see normally most academically successful people would tell you that school should always come first no matter what. But when having to choose between money for food and gas, or doing that research paper that's due in two days, procrastination and hunger overcame
