Sasquatch V. Yeti, Are They Real, Or Not Real? The Sasquatch and the Yeti, mythical ape-like beasts are extremely popular legends in the U.S.A. and Nepal as early as the 1800’s. Many people do not believe in them, often dismissing them as hoaxes, but for those who do believe in them, they are both feared and respected.
If they do exist, the creatures have defined muscles and are incredibly strong, and are able to elude the camera as well. Michael Johnson, someone very involved in Sasquatch research, said this, “When you begin to understand that you are dealing with so much more than a simple animal, you can begin to appreciate the intelligence they possess.” He raved of the beast. Now onto the Yeti, which is said to reside in the cold Himalayas, is the most talked about and feared of the two legends. Dubbed ‘The Abominable Snowman’, there was a misinterpretation of the name that the people who lived by the Himalayas, and a translator famously messed it up and gave it an alternate name. More people say they have seen the yeti while climbing the Himalayas, while most of these claims were admitted to be hoaxes, people have taken photographs that look like they could be either real or fake. A CNN news reporter, Laura Smith-Spark, stated that a genetics scientist discovered that they found her that related that of an ancient polar bear back some 40,000 to 120,000 years. While it could be possible that it evolved, some people personally think that the polar bear is still alive, and hiding, or they just found some hair that the last few left. In comparing the two animals, they are both known to have supreme intellect and are very elusive; both are from 6 ft. to 8 ft. tall, and have a large coat of body hair with large feet; and while the yeti has been said to have light grey or white hair, they also say it could have brown hair, like the Sasquatch. In people’s opinion, if they are real, they could both be of the same species, with some differences
