Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill was born in
November 30th, 1874 in Woodstock, Oxfordshire,
England. His parents were Jennie Jerome and Lord
Randolph Churchill. At a young age Churchill lived in
Dublin, Ireland. This was due to his father being employed by his grandfather as his private secretary.
Churchill became fascinated with the military at this early age as he watched the military parades pass by the official residence of the leader of Ireland.

Upon being accepted he trained as a member of the cavalry. He also took an interest as a war correspondent as he enjoyed writing about his military experiences. During his time as a correspondent, Churchill travelled to
Cuba, India, Sudan and South Africa. In 1899 Churchill resigned from military services and entered into politics. His first attempt in politics was unsuccessful and he reentered the military world as a war correspondent during the Boar War. During this time he was captured by the Boar Republics. He remained a prisoner of war until his escape and returned to England in 1900. Churchill returned to military service as a member of the Territorial Army (reservist). He officially left the service in 1924.
In 1908 he married Clementine Hozier. The couple had 5 children. However tragedy struck the family as their fourth child, Marigold, died as a result of septicemia.
Churchill continued to make advancements in politics and in 1901 became a member of parliament.
As the second world begun Churchill became the First Lord of Admiralty in the Royal Navy. This was short lived and he resigned from the post after the failure of a navy mission at Dardanelles.

Looking at the early ages of Winston Churchill, he was born November 30, 1874 right in Blenheim Palace. His parents were never involved much in his life so his nanny, Mrs. Everest, took care of him. Churchill had graduated from Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1895, and from there he fought in Cuba, India, and Egypt.
