LESSONS 4-6: Facilitation of Student Work (days 5-7)
These teacher’s notes accompany Lessons 4-6 for the 6th grade art Cornerstone Unit “The Grid”. Use these Teacher’s Notes to guide your instruction and discussion for the pre-lesson.

Objective: Students will create a final work in the form of a map that demonstrates the connections between abstraction and representation and the relationship between space and experience. Students will meet this objective utilizing the qualitative data gathered through the geocaching adventure in their physical education class (or alternate assignment if necessary) and building from the practice activities in Lessons 1 - 3.
