The well known expression, 'let go,' is commonly used to remind oneself or others to 'let go,' or release, as from one's grip, 'no longer hold onto' something.
Have you wanted to 'let go' of something that was no longer serving your best interest? Letting go is difficult sometimes, because, humans cling to the familiar and are to some degree adverse to change which would cause discomfort or take one out of one's comfort zone.

If you are anxious, tense, worry or concerned about anything, begin to relax, 'let go' of the thought that is driving the feeling. No matter what seems to be awry in your life, you can 'let go' and change course to something that is in your best interest.
Whatever you might be holding onto, whether it is a relationship, a bad job, regret, remorse, shame, guilt, disappointment, anger, sadness or something as simple as a piece of clothing, sometimes you need to simply 'let go.' It can be difficult to 'let go' and move into the unknown. Unless you want to be dealing with it the rest of your life, you need to learn to just 'let it go' and 'move on.'
Dr. Otis Thomas, the renowned Kinesiologist, recommends using an affirmation when one is having difficulty in 'letting go.' If you want to 'let go' of something that transpired that you regret or something you did not do, using an affirmation is very
Throughout the countless pages of history, there exists many occurrences of change. Some of these changes are positive while others are negative. Nevertheless, as each change occurs, it must undergo struggles to become accepted. One example of the struggles of change that is seen in today’s society is the ongoing fight for religious freedom. Another change that is currently facing obstacles is the fight to change policies that raise the question of equality. Lastly, another struggle for change is the conflict that is occurring in order to make same-sex marriage legal. Through the examples of all these changes, there exists the common factor of changing values. As values change, new changes are undertaken. Therefore, changing values entail
Love requires time and devotion to develop into a relationship. There will be times where you will have to give up on your relationship, because the circumstances are not favorable. Letting go does not mean you did not have the faith or affection for your partner, instead it reflects upon the ability to let go of someone for the sake of others.
There are many metaphors for change. I had been challenged one time at my church gathering to view change as a journey, from one place to another. It is easier to focus on where the journey started, and finally where it ended and forget any lessons learned while travelling. I have often heard it said, “When one door closes, another one opens”. What they don’t tell you, is that between the closed door and the open one is a long dark hallway. I think whether in an organization or in my personal life, change can feel like stumbling around in the dark. The familiar is left behind, and we venture into the unfamiliar. I believe the biggest challenge is not getting lost on this

Even when a place you cannot stand is found by you, surrounded by more terrible things than you thought are possible for a single place, there will still be some elements that make it more difficult to simply say good-bye. This is especially true when you knew the feeling of leaving, how much it can hurt to lose things that were precious to you. Once you’ve felt the loss of a friendship; or special event or meaningful moment, no amount of desires to leave will completely erase those feelings. The next times you are forced to deal with them. But this can be a good thing especially with people both those you’ve left behind and those who left as well. If you remembers how terrible it felt to watch relationships collapsed and fade away, then you fight to make sure that don’t happen again. Every fiber of your being resists the natural tendency to grow apart and lose what you had. That can be a very powerful task, but it shows strength determination and a kind heart. It makes what you had more precious, and guarantee that what you will have in the future is held dear and treated with all the love and respect that you can
Change and hope. Two powerful words that can travel beyond their meanings and spark a light within. To illustrate how words can blossom, I will discuss how the two words, change and hope, specifically made a difference within me. I grew up in the modest town of Clarksville, Tennessee, and at the time it was quickly flourishing into a booming city. With the quick growth in establishments, also came a more rapid issue, homelessness. I vividly recall at the age of 9, gazing out of the car window all while taking notice of people in tattered clothes holding up makeshift cardboard signs and reading phrases such as, “Need food.” As a result, I have volunteered my time with local shelters to aid in ensuring people do not go without food and shelter.
When you let go of something you’ve been clinging on for a long time, at first people tend to doubt their life choices;however, they might not know it yet, but they are not making wrong decisions even though in their head it’s all a big, gray cloud filled with worries.

Change is not always progress. Many people have the view that change always means there will be progress, but recent statistics and facts prove that change is not always progress and not always a good thing. First of all, change can mean many different things, some change like less highschool dropouts, or new technology that helps the environment can be great and proof of progress for our society, but unpropitious or inimical changes do not help with progression.

Also, dwelling on the bad hurts can you mentally. Bad things will happen and you can try to minimize them, but you cannot let that affect you mentally. Remember the bad and learn from it as best you can. Brandy Cole of George Mason University sums it up best: “Learn to accept things and not dwell on what has already happen.”
