Individuals behavior during Mardi Gras is more focused on informal social control theory than formal social control. Informal social control basically referred “to our conformity to the normals and values of the society and adoption of a particular belief system, which we learn through the process of socialization”. People during the Mardi Gras conduct lewd behavior in which is sexual behavior that is not appropriate. As mentioned in “ Testing informal social control theory: examining lewd behavior during mardi gras” by David Redmon, “Lewd conduct at Mardi Gras is defined as the exposure of one’s genitals, anus, vulva, or female breast

As I reached for Inmate Hawkins’s left wrist, he snatched away from me, got in a boxing stance, and began bouncing rhythmically on his toes. Therefore, I retrieved my T.A.S.E.R. from its holster and gave Inmate Hawkins loud verbal commands to get on the floor. However, he refused to follow my orders; therefore, I pushed him toward the wall and continued to instruct

McClung found the complainant’s testimony to be credible in that she did not consent, but found doubt, within her conduct, in whether Ewanchuk understood this-- thus coming to the decision that he should be found not guilty due to implied consent. On 05-31-17 at 0144 hours, I was dispatched to 99 E. Colorado Boulevard regarding a vandalism investigation. Upon my arrival, I met with Witness Pasadena Guide Sergio Solorio who told me the following information in summary:
Sitting in her room, the twelve year old female smiles as she responds to a stranger on her laptop. The young lady types in her name, address, phone number, and other personal information. She makes arrangements to meet the stranger. She sets a date to meet him in the park not realizing who she will encounter. This twelve year old had no idea the danger she is setting herself up for. The stranger who is communicating with the young lady is luring her to meet him. Surely, his intentions are not in her best interest. She is using technology in a way that is not appropriate. Although technology is a tool used daily for productivity it can also be accessed for the wrong reasons. Technology is causing much corruption in society through sexual exploitation, violence, and identity theft in which the worse is brought out.

However, these changes are different from any of the changes that an individual has been through before. Through observation, a lot can be earned about an individual on many different levels. The observer is able to analyze the individual on a biological, cognitive, and psychosocial point of views.
