“You bet, the business is yours now”
“I can’t sell this much.”
“If I did it, then you can.” “The supplier comes every Sunday night.” “Make sure you have at least $1,250.”
“HOLY S***!”
“What?”
“That’s a lot of cash, you can not expect me to get that much in a week”
“Well i'm sure you will figure it out.”
Lewis looks down at the duffle bags, he looks back up and Norman is gone. Lewis stands in shock, he did not know what to expect when he went to Norman for a job. But he definitely did not expect to inherit the whole business. Lewis takes the duffle bags to his car. He sits there for a while thinking to himself. He starts to freak out, he thinks to himself. “Am I going to die if I don't get the money.” But he calms himself down. Once he is completely calm, he goes home. He walks into the house.
His mom asks, “Where did you go after school.”
“I went to Brian's badminton game, and then we went to get ice cream.”
“Oh, next time can you please call me and tell me what you are doing.”
“Yes mom, I'm sorry.”
Lewis walks up into his room. He shuts the door. He flops down onto his bed, then suddenly gets a bright idea.

The Real Cool Killers is about finding out the killer of a white guy who was in a bar in Harlem, New York; an all-black neighborhood. Two detectives were assigned to this case because of how much respect they had in Harlem. The detective’s names were Grave Digger and Coffin Ed and they were known for being violent with suspects. The two of the detectives were aggressive people but Grave Digger was more level headed than Coffin Ed ever since he had gotten acid thrown on his face a while back. Coffin Ed might even be trigger happy when things are thrown his way literally. Grave Digger and Coffin Ed were put onto this case to find out information and find it fast. Just a few minutes after the incident happened Grave Digger and Coffin Ed were on the scene, they thought they had some potential suspects. There were 6 young black males on the scene that were potential suspects, Grave Digger and Coffin Ed were going to find information on how this white man died in the middle of Harlem. They arrest only one of the young males because he had a handgun on him but said he shot blanks. Although that was stated Digger and Ed still had to arrest him because he was there only lead and weren't sure if that young male was telling the truth or not. As far as the other 5 young males there were told to sit on the ground and hands where they could be seen by the two
Most comic books involve a hero who saves the day even the world. In March Book two, the main characters not only changed the world but they made history and something that will never be forgotten. In March Book Two by John Lewis, you basically go through what he went through when he was fighting for his rights. You will see all the pain he and the freedom riders went through, but you will also see the way he changed the United States of America.
They all got into John's car and raced over to his house, went down to a safe in the basement, which had a layer of dust on it and had clearly not been opened in a long time. John put in the combination and gave the investigators a gun identical to the one used to kill Lucas.
“Okay, okay, I’ll pay you the money. And by the way, I know I’ll love it!”
Lunch mercifully arrived, and Lewis broke one of his self-imposed rules and let himself slouch. Over the summer, he had been accustomed to grabbing something from Sylvester's refrigerator or cabinet if even the thought of hunger passed through his mind. Now, Lewis had to wait four hours for a tray of food. It seemed like Sylvester was on the same page when he grabbed Lewis's arm and quickly dragged him toward the lunch line. Knowing Sylvester, Lewis got in line first to let the big guy know what the blondie was going to get. Sylvester never wanted to get the same thing since Lewis always shared. He grabbed a fruit salad, and whatever else that looked colorful.
In The Undoing Project, Michael Lewis investigates behavioral economics and common misconceptions regarding the human brain and its ability to rationalize. This text dives into the deeper questions of why it is that people think the way they do despite the illogicality of their argument and how humans come about thinking a certain way. Though the author certainly addresses the arguments of both Kahneman and Tversky, it is important to note that Lewis also recognizes the arguments of society— those which are esteemed above the less popular conceptions. Kahneman and Tversky are two men who, though they lived different lives and have distinct ways of forming their predictions, both share their same views of the human’s subconscious, emotionally
Lewis sends a clear message that he believes in that there is no absolute truth in his book. He doesnt have any relativism in it. He says that there is heaven and there is hell. There is good and there is evil. Lewis gives everyone who’s in this book powers, which makes it fall in to evil. Everyone who gets on the bus, which is going to heaven, must make a conscious decision, they aren’t fit to go to heaven yet. And the reason why they see and have all these ghost is because of how imperfectly they are to enter heaven. “One could attend to them or ignore them at will as you do with the dirt on a window pane. I noticed that the grass did not bend under their feet: even the dew drops were not disturbed” (Lewis Chapter 3). They are still same
Roland Barthes once said that “Literature is the question minus the answer.” This is a statement that applies nearly perfectly to some novels: for example, Atonement questions what redemption really is and The Picture of Dorian Gray questions what beauty really is, but neither novel provides a definite answer to their respective questions. It cannot be universally applied in its entirety, however; though Till We Have Faces is centered around a difficult question, it does end with a definite answer. C. S. Lewis’s Till We Have Faces uses the Greek gods as a symbol to ask why the Judeo-Christian God – the God C. S. Lewis believed in – never seems to speak clearly and holds the answer in the meaning of the work as a whole: the hidden truth
After the police had found out that the man who took Ally was the Undertaker and that he just got out of jail they looked all over social media for the undertaker. The police found another picture that he posted on Instagram that he was at Target. The police quickly rushed to Target and put the Undertaker back to jail.
“Shouldn’t you at least try to show a little modesty and act reasonable?” I asked, throwing myself into a battle that has a foregone conclusion. “After all, this is fake and demanding him to purchase top of the line gifts this early on gives you the appearance of an exploiter.”
