It was getting cold and repetitive doing many underwater dives into the frigid water. Hugh had thought of ways to make his job quicker and easier or, if it came down to it, perhaps something warmer. In his basement, he was working on suit that could hold warm water inside. Separating the cold and warm water with the fabric. It was the neoprene fabric recommended by the scientist and engineer of Scripps Institute. Today Hugh had finally finished fabricating the suit in his basement, but it was very heavy and hasn't been in a test dive yet. He and his co workers decided to create this wet suit to make their work easier, maybe go for a US patent if possible. If that didn't work he could just sell the suit to the navy and such.

Made famous by the late comedian Flip Wilson, the Devil made me do it, was a quirky phrase used to pass the blame to the one entity that no one would expect anything but a mischievous act. Sunflowers, 1888. When he was more miserable he used darker, mysterious colours i.e. Starry Night 1889; and when he was straight to the point, Self-Portrait if Bandaged Ear, 1889. He conveyed his emotional life in his art. He never tried to hide his depression, yet instead highlighting this in his paintings, and this is what makes him so individual.
This masterpiece was painted by Van Gogh in 1889 while he was receiving treatment in Saint-Paul-de-Mausole, a mental asylum. The beautiful painting that many people have come to love today was never appreciated during its own time. Various art critics thought that the large brush strokes Van Gogh had made in Starry Night seemed “messy” and “childlike”. The strokes also convinced people that Van Gogh was truly crazy and that he was not as talented as other artists. Yet the pencil thick lines are what made the painting look hyper-realistic and eye-catching. They have a calming, consistent effect on people whose eyes want to follow the swirls and lines. The brush strokes that Van Gogh added more texture, detail, and blended the colors easily to one another in Starry Night. The realistic details make it feel as if the painting is trying to get a message across to the public. With every line that Vincent van Gogh had made he put as much feelings into them as he did with effort.
He was not content with simply painting images; rather, he utilized his artistic abilities as way of expressing his realistic approach and imparted messages to the mankind through use of strong and creative symbols. (About Library and Essays | sadequainfoundation)
