There have been numerous life experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. These variety experiences played a major role the shaping of who I am. The main three experiences that have had the biggest impact on shaping me into the person I am today are family, Christianity, and playing tennis. I have kept these experiences close to my heart, they have taught me to become more patient, responsible, and caring for others. My family has had the largest and most profound impact on my life. Growing up with three siblings is a challenge. Being both a younger and older sister has given me various viewpoints on life. Each of the siblings is different which requires learning how to react to each one differently. It has made me more patient and more understanding towards others and how their experiences in life shape them to be the person they are and to always be mindful of their situations.
Large families force you to develop your social skills. One is forced to socialize even when you may not feel the need or desire to. Having large family gatherings such as holidays has taught me to place others needs before my own and allowing that in itself to be rewarding. Since I have grown up around people I have become more sociable and not as reserved as I may want to be. Growing up in a smaller family may cause you to be more reserved around others, compared to growing up in a bigger family where one has to speak loudly to be heard.
My family has also shaped my values in
Many life experiences contribute to who I am today. One specific experience when I was six years old had proven to be the most influential.
One major experience that has shaped me as a person would be the decision to join FFA my freshman year. FFA has allowed me many incredible opportunities and experiences these past four years.
Everyone in their life has had something happen to them that influenced them somehow, whether it was something big or little, good or bad. Some examples would be a death of a family member or a close friend, but it could also be being nominated for something outstanding that sets the course for the rest of their life. I have a lot of things in my life that have impacted me in some way or influenced how I saw something. An experience that has greatly impacted my life and influenced me would be moving. The move that my family and I recently went through impacted my entire life a great deal, and it influenced me to see things in a bigger way, to appreciate the little things more, and to always try to see things from a different perspective.
Two significant people that made an impact for me are my parents because they have always worked hard to give us everything we need. If it wouldn’t have been for my parents guiding me to be better than others I might have Joined a gang or been under bad influences. There are two significant events that really impacted me one was a tragic event that happened to my neighbor/friends, who lost their mother after she died for reasons that I was too young to remember. After watching them live their lives without mothers I couldn’t imagine how hard it was for them. The Second event is a shooting that happened at home while we were gone and my brother wasn’t with us, my family and I were terrified until my mother received a call from my aunt who lived nearby, who had my brother for several hours. After, that moment my family had begun to feel relieved and learned to not let any moment we spend together be worthless. If there would be one thing that I would change from my past it would be surrounding myself from kids who instead of helping each other rise,
A specific detail that effects my present day life is my parents divorce. The separation from my parents taught me how to do many tasks on my own. I learned how to take the bus as well as different forms of public transportation on my own. I became more mobile and able to see my other family members more often which caused us to become closer. Now at holidays, the celebrations are doubled up.
“Sometimes the road less traveled is less traveled for a reason.” (Jerry Seinfeld) Most people don’t know what life will bring or what road they will have to travel until that time comes. George never knew the only way he could save his best friend would be to kill him and Hamlet never knew he would die from being poisoned by my uncle and friend. All the trails and tribulations that you encounter are only to make you better person even if it’s bad. Personally I have been through a lot in 16 years. Some good and some bad but at the end it made me the young last that I am today. Your life experiences only prepare you for the real word. Three life experiences that made me who I am are Death of my uncle, my mom being ill and the switching of
One identifier that has shaped me into the person I am is being a military brat. My father is a military officer for the USMC and his job has greatly affected my life. Since I was born, my family has moved seven times and I have lived in six different states and in Okinawa, Japan. Throughout my life, I have gone through many changes and been challenged in many ways. Theses events have made me stronger as a person. This has not only change my life; it has changed who I am.
Many things have shaped me into the person I am today. Most of those things have to do with people dying or having near-death experiences or anything along the tragic things that can happen in one's life. Those things entail my Uncle Daniel's death, my dad's heart surgery, my cousin Laura losing her baby, and my great grandmother, Mimi, losing her life. Those things have made me realize the preciousness of life, deepened my faith, and made me a more compassionate person today.
I believe my family and education has had the greatest impact on my life. For my family, my Uncle Cole is the one who had the most impact on me. He is an athletic trainer at Oak Grove High school in Missouri. Also, he is the athletic trainer for the Kansas City Chiefs. When I was in eighth grade I job shadowed him in Oak Grove, Kansas City. He is extremely close to not only the athletes there but also the students who don't play sports. I saw how he interacted with all the students and faculty and decided then I wanted to continue my education after high school to pursue a degree in something sports related. My mother influenced my decision to further my education by always telling me to stay on top of everything and never depend on anyone
My parents divorced when I was at a very young age. Seeing your mother leave and not know where she went for years can have a huge impact in anyone's life in many negative ways, but with the love and support of family members and close friends it made it easier to keep my mind on the right track. Witnessing my parents go through what they went through, I knew that I had to be strong for my siblings. I have two full blood siblings and three half blood siblings. Growing up with five
Some of the things that have shaped me into the person that I’m today are my family, the people that I grow up around, some of the events In my life. There are many events that have shaped me in the the person that I’m today. Also the people that I have grown up around has dramatically helped shape me into the person I am. My family is one of the main things that have helped shape me into the person I’m today. One of my early memories are of my mom working and going to school at the same time to take care of eleven kid son her own. We also used two have a garden and we would go there everyday to take care of the plants. But my mom started to work all of the time so we were no longer aboul to go there so me and my sister made a garden in the back yard so that when my mom had time we could still garden. That is why one of my hobbies is gardening.
The environment, family, and community I have grown up in has shaped me as a person. So far, I grew up in the same house all seventeen years of my life. My personality has grown and molded over the years of middle school and high school based off the lessons I have learned and the things I’ve been through.
The three things that have made the biggest impact on and have influenced my life that shaped me into the person I am today are family background, experiences from my school year, and religious beliefs. Our culture provides a lens through which we view the world and interpret our everyday experiences. In order to know who I am today, I must look at who you’ve been. Many educators around the country are interested in developing a multicultural approach in their teaching. They find themselves in classrooms with 25 children of varying racial and cultural backgrounds, and are looking for ways to connect what they do in the classroom to the cultures represented by their students. Before we can begin to understand others, however, we need to understand ourselves and what we bring to our interactions with others.
People’s life experiences make them who they are in life. These events, teach individuals how to appropriately act with somebody of a different race, as well as demonstrated all the diverse types of people there are in the world. As a child, I came across numerous boys and girls, of various hair hues and skin tones, at spots where children congregate. It did not seem to matter at the time what the person looked like on the outside, all I perceived was a new child to play with and someone to call a friend. It is inspiring to me, that children, more often than not, are blind to racial differences. Sadly, as people grow older they start to become aware of others racial dissimilarities.
A person’s life is a journey filled with bumps, detours and dead-ends while the route is shaped by the people, places and experiences that litter the path. It does not matter if a person graces your life for a moment or for a lifetime, each one helps guide our destination by helping define who we are and who we will become. These relationships bring us the many tools that we will need along the way. My parents and friends have given me great roadside assistance by teaching many ethical principles. Because of them, honesty and acceptance are two core values of mine that will be tremendous assets in a future business career.
