The research paper deals with the introduction and development of Persian form of narrative poetry which is called Masnavi by Amir Khusrau in Indian literature. Masnavi is an ancient form of poetry which is divided into four categories according to the contents involved: epical, romantic, ethnic and sufistic, and fiction. . Amir Khusrau was one of the great poets of medieval India. Writing in both Persian and Hindnavi he was known as the parrot of India. He helped to give a distinctive character of Indian Islamic cultural traditions through his contributions

The Masnavi ‘hasht bihisht’ was formed to show the different faces of the world from which the last poem showcased the beauty of true virtues. Khusrau’s ‘the Tale of the Camphor Princesses’ is a poem that provides every element a reader wants to have in the poetry he is reading. The poem has a unique status among other Masnavis because of its very own outstanding qualities. It develops gradually, reaches its high and ends at a happy and justified note. Amir Khusrau was truly a great poet with a marvelous eloquence he had created such masterpieces which are appreciated till the present by poets, readers and critics. The tale of the camphor Princess tells us that true love will come to your way eventually at the right time and till then you must beware of treacherous people. This tale has not just given out the concept of true love but has also thrown light on the fact that true virtues are like a treasure that must be kept safe and a person would surely get rewarded for his deeds. At the end I would like to conclude that Amir Khusrau with his poetry created such a charm throughout the world that people had appreciated him in the past and would be appreciating him in the coming years as
“They wept together, for the things they now knew.”(104) The last sentence of the first story in Interpreter of Maladies, reveals the cruelty of the elapsed romance in a marriage. In the two collections, A Temporary Matter and The Third and Final Continent, Jhumpa Lahiri demonstrates that a marriage can be either uplifting or discouraging depends on the mindset held by the couple and the strength of human bonding. ‘Wild Thorns’ by Sahar Khalifeh is an insightful commentary that brings to life the Palestinian struggle under the Israeli Occupation and embodies this conflict through the different perspectives brought forth by the contrasting characters. We are primarily shown this strife through the eyes of the principal character, the expatriate Usama, as well as the foil character of his cousin, Adil. Khalifeh skillfully uses literary devices such as emotive language, allusions and positive and negative connotations to highlight life under the Occupation. As the audience, these techniques help encourage us to consider the struggle more in depth, and due to the wide variety of characters, invite us to relate to them.
This book report is an analysis of the Egyptian Love Poem [ My god, my Lotus…], from the book, The Norton Anthology of World Literature, Volume A. Egyptian Love Poems date back to 1300-1100 B.C.E., they were written on papyri, potsherd, and flakes of limestone. Papyri are a sheet-like material that was made out of pithy stems from a water plant. Which was used to write or paint on in the ancient Mediterranean world, potsherd is pieces of broken ceramic material. The lovers in Egyptian Love Poems are young and tend to be under parental supervision, half the poem is spoken by the girl and the other half by the boy. This poem displays different perspectives of love and the reality of how love is viewed in most civilizations. Readers will learn that love is not exclusive to men and women, and how different forms of love can lead them to overcoming life obstacles.

The majority of the American population, who are trapped in the "rat race" of money-making and social climbing, rely on these social norms to create class distinction. When we think of the word literature, we think of Shakespeare’s story or Harper Lee’s story and take the text too seriously. For example, listing down some examples of literature, more or less the lists we’ve made do not mention any graphic novels. However, the graphic novel entitled Maus by Art Spiegelman is a story about a young man asking his dad to relive his days as a Holocaust survivor, which backs the idea that graphic novels can be treated as a piece of literature. The Maus series can be a great example because the plot, sub-plot, themes and characters are greatly weaved together. These types of novels should be considered a form literature because it expresses the story better and that it’s still profound.

Usually when two people’s point of views are depicted in a story, the books are separated to help the reader understand which character is thinking or saying what. In these two books, the points of view from different people is a reoccurring theme among the pages. In A Thousand Splendid Suns, points of view from two afghan women are portrayed. At first, the story of one woman is told, then the book is separated into a different part telling the story of the other woman. When the stories become associated with one another, the book is separated once again into a different part, telling their stories together, but with chapters separating their points of view on the shared story.
