Everyone has a place where they go to escape the pressures and the worries of their hectic lives. There’s always that one place that you can go to, to clear your head and soothe your problems away when you are stressed. For me that place is the beach, it is my ultimate cure for stress. When I’m there, all my worries and obligations are suddenly lifted and I feel calm and free. Thoughts of living at a beach house, for most of us, bring about images of clear blue skies and beautiful tropical blue beaches as we dream up fantasies of ultimate relaxation and well-being. Living near sea has many health benefits, firstly, there’s no …show more content…
Another advantage of living by the sea is that you always have your own therapeutic swimming pool - the sea! The beneficial qualities of seawater have been known to man for centuries, it helps heal wounds quicker, reduces infection and promotes pain relief. Seawater also increases the elasticity of the skin, improves its appearance, and opens the pores. In addition it contains magnesium which has a calming effect on the nerves. I love that there’s always something to do at the beach whether its surfing or water skiing or just laying out in the sun with your friends. And sunshine is the main source of vitamin D, this vitamin plays a major role in strengthening the bones and boosting the immune system The breathtaking view of the sea, the night sky and the beach every time you look out the windows, is another vital reason why I love living on the beach. Although there are lot of advantages of living on the beach there are some disadvantages too, like there’s always the fear of storms and hurricanes which cause loss of lives and extensive damage to property, another disadvantage of living
“The Beach is written in the style of a free verse poem consisting of two stanzas, the first one having nineteen lines and the second having twelve. The lines vary significantly in length and feature a large amount of enjambment which stretches over fur lines in some cases. The mood and atmosphere of the poem is extremely relaxed and promotes the reader to feel nostalgic about the last time they themselves visited the beach.
When I was a teenager, my family took a vacation on the east coast. I was fortunate enough to have cool parents that let the teenagers pick some places to visit. Since we were all fans of the Jersey Shore show and so close to New Jersey, all the teenagers begged to go to “The Shore”. I expected it to be a cool, hip place with the MTV stars all around. The Shore looks similar to other beach cities. It has a calm, relaxing feel to it. It has the beautiful, blue skies and ocean breezes. It has sunbathers, surfers, boogie boarders, and beachcombers. However, there is a fee to go on the beach in addition to the parking fee, which was a surprise for us, but it is “The Shore”. The beach is clean with white sand and blue water. Unlike California beaches, it is usually not crowded (probably because they charge people). There are places to rent snorkeling gear and boogie boards.
2. The beach is a happy place because there is sun, fun, and water. This is a place to wear a swimsuit and splash in the water. A time to relax, set up a beach chair and sit by the crashing waves. There are lots of seashells and rocks to collect in a pail or cup. The beautiful beach scenery provides the opportunity to take pictures of the sand, waves, umbrellas, and sunsets. My favorite place to
Growing up in Southern California, I was surrounded by coastal culture, which has influenced me in many ways. No matter whether I lived in San Diego or Ventura county, I was never more than ten minutes away from the beach. Every weekend, it seemed, my dad would take us to the beach as family so we could play in the water, build sandcastles, catch hermit crabs, see the tide pools, and most of all, spend time together. I was enchanted by all the beach had to offer. Every sandcastle built was a palace for a hermit crab and every tide pool a thriving community. Whenever I stepped into the water, my imagination would run wild. Despite how often we went, I always enjoyed our days at the beach.
You look around and all you see is mother nature's finest. The beach is where people go to have fun and that’s why I go to this one special beach, because you get a little of everything there. You get wild life, the ocean, and pure silence. The only thing you can hear is the ocean waves crashing onto the beach, reminds me of Niagara falls. Its breathtaking. And everything is clean. No trash laying around at all. Nothing.
What isn’t at the beach? The beach is a relaxing and comfortable place to be with friends and family. Whether it’s taking a walk on the beach as the golden sand oozes under your toes or relaxing on the beach as the bright sun beams on your skin. Suddenly you get hot, so you decide to take a swim as the waves smash into the shore. If you get hungry, conveniently there’s a surplus of foods to choose from to satisfy your cravings. If you get bored, games, rides and amusement rides are available at your fingertips. From beach to beach, Ocean City, MD to Assateague Island, the shores have a lot to offer. The coastlines which are 18 miles apart, are vastly different due to the history and founders of the east coast beaches. You’ll observe the benefits they have to offer their communities and see just how important these places are.
We have always gone to this beach because when all of us kids were little the adults made a pact stating that they would never take us to Ocean City or any other place that is built up with boardwalks or other distractions. They wanted us to go the beach to just enjoy the ocean and our surroundings. We never got a beach house with a pool for the same reason; they did not want us to have that as an option--it was the ocean or nothing.
After traveling for 3-hours, my family arrived at our beach house in Ocean City Maryland. After making a quick trip for groceries, we decided to go to bed and set alarm clocks for early in the morning. After a good nights sleep, I woke up to the pleasant smell of bacon and eggs. After feasting on a delightful breakfast, my brothers and I began to get ready for the beach. We went down the creaky wooden stairs of our beach house and unlocked the storage room located beneath the home. I decided to carry both of the floral umbrellas while my brothers took the portable beach chairs. After grabbing all of our gear, we headed back up the weathered stairs and towards the distant sand dunes. As we approached the entrance of the sand dunes, the satisfying sounds of the ocean's waves started to become closer and closer. Once we traveled closer, the vivid orange sun began to ascend from the deep sea. At this early point in the morning, the sand walkway enclosed by
One can agree that during the day, the beach can be a noisy place: music, kids, and talkative individuals can all make a difference in the pleasantness of your beach day. During the day in the Bahamas it is quite loud due to the numerous tourists in the area who want to party and have a good time, but at dusk, it stops. Little by little the beach gets less populated with clamorous people and feels more like your own oasis. You begin to hone in on the sounds: the rave music is now more calming; it is maybe playing reggae or something else soothing. The seagulls seem to chirp less, and you are suddenly all alone. As you walk down the beach waiting for the sun to set you feel the softness of the sand, and look back to see how your feet have been molded to become one with the beach. When the sun sets and the sky radiates comforting colors, you begin to feel different: the beach resonates the warmth of the sky through your feet, up into your heart. You look around and see the landscape of the beach has been made lively by the colors of the sky. The rocks blush from the sky’s red tint, and the palm trees look to be slow dancing in the warming breeze. Your body is captured by good feelings and is hypnotized by the sunset’s effect on this beach. There is still one last element to the whole picture
I grew up in Panama City Florida, home of the worlds most beautiful beaches. My childhood was filled with priceless experiences at the local amusement each summer and with playing with my five siblings on the sandy white beach. Seafood lovers come from all over the United States to experience our local dining. The southern hospitality and family friendly atmosphere makes many vacationers become permanent residents. The summers may be hot but you can always cool down with a snow cone!
1. I was in the middle of town. It was 1 a.m. in the morning with dark, deserted streets. All the lights in the town were out except the dimly lit street lights. I snuck out that night to meet a friend in town to hang out and talk about our goals and just have a nice night, but he was nowhere to be seen. So I started walking up and down the street yelling his name, "Bobby you there?" But no body replied except my echo, so I kept on walking looking around. At this point in time it was 2 a.m. in the morning, and I was getting tired, so I turned around and headed home. But before I ever got there I saw Bobby, dead laying on my front porch! I rushed up to him and called 9-1-1. To this day, nobody ever found out what happened to him.
This photograph was taken on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2015. It was taken during sunset and as the tide had gone out, revealing a wider coastline. The world-famous beach is manmade and since 1951, over 80,000 cubic meters of sand has been imported to replace sand lost through erosion from heavy rainfall, sea swells, wind and tropical storms.
I walked along the beach. As I was walking I could feel the fresh smell of the beach like it was an air freshener but it also smelled that gave me a tingle in my nose. As I kept walking along the beach I could feel the light breeze coming against me. This fresh air felt warm as I felt like I was sleeping in a comfortable bed. I kept walking in the beach, as I did it felt like an escape to all my problems and also my stress. Beach felt like a solution to all my problems and could be open with anything.
Its cold, windy, and sunny all at the same time. The beach stretches for miles seeming endless, until it reaches a tall cliff with waves crashing against it. The sun shines down on the moisture in the air creating a “sparkling” affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock formations stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your toes is and not a worry in your mind is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide takes place and you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and balconies on every place to capture the view.
The place where I feel most comfortable is a place where I am calm. A place that is peaceful in its own ways. It is the place to go to get away from all my troubles. It is the one place where I could sit forever, and never get tired of just staring into the deepest blue I have ever seen. It is the place where I can sit and think the best. A place where nothing matters but what is in that little moment. The one place capable of sending my senses into an overload. This place is the ocean.
