He cheated. He cheated and she knew he cheated. She knew he slept with another girl. And lied about it. But… but, as she looked at him, down on his knees, she couldn't walk away. How could she? She believed every word he said uttered when he cried to her in his front yard. Or at least she tried.
"Macie, please. You don't understand. Please, let me explain. I thought you didn't want to be with me anymore. I thought you were ashamed of me. I thought I would break up with you right after, but when you came over, I couldn't do it. I'm in love with you, Macie."

Honest to God she did. But with every word he said, she felt herself drawing further and further from him. She bit her tongue. Could she trust him? Should she trust him? How would she know he wouldn't do it again? How could he touch someone else when she was the one he was supposed to love?
"You're my world, Macie. You're mine and I'll never let you go, okay?"
A simple, "okay," was her response. And as she closed her eyes to sleep, she realized how she was the most scared she'd ever been, right there, in his arms.

Macie slowly opens her eyes. Swollen and puffy from last night's events. It'd been a month since the day she said she'd take him back. And a day since she found out Vy has gotten drunk and made love to yet another girl. Last night was the night she told him she was leaving. He cried like she'd never seen. He begged like she'd never seen. He yelled like she'd never seen. He always said he rarely got mad. But when he smashed a hole in the drywall and put his fist two inches from her face, she knew he was psychotic.
She had ran to her car in a sobbing mess. She fell in, shut and locked the door, and scrambled to find her keys.
"Baby," Vy had said through the glass. "Baby, I'm sorry, please don't do this. I can't live without you."
She cracked the window, "I'm leaving you, Vy. Forever."
"No. No, no, no. NO!" He shouted as he banged on her
