It is a lie because I already expected this movie to be really good, there was no doubt director George Miller can immerse you into a world of anarchistic madness and superb designed character costumes (how is it that this guy was the director of Happy Feet?). Let’s extend a little on the action scenes, the fact that they were made with practical effects, gives them a different look from the blockbusters we’ve seen in the last 10 years, and also the choreographic madness that goes for almost the entire movie, sends you to a 2 hours rush of adrenaline. Other of the most surprising things about the movie is Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron). This movie could easily be called “Imperator Furiosa and Mad Max”, because actually, the heroine in the movie is her, the most interesting and developed character, give us a hell of a ride in her rig from and to the Citadel. She is actually the one that kicks off the movie taking that fateful left turn that sets off the pandemonium. Max (Tom Hardy) is a more distant character, with a realistic take on how the life he’s been living leaves him with PTSD, having hallucinations and literally, tics. Tom Hardy’s portrayal is great, don’t get me wrong, but the character played by Charlize Theron is simply, larger. To summarize, Mad Max: Fury Road, is one of the best movies of 2015, it has superb action, it has a flawless-crazy-anarchist-unforgettable world and it has Imperator
