One of my goals this year is to maintain an average of 90% or above. This can be achieved if I devote a portion of my time to study and review my notes every day, even if there is no test or exam for that subject in the near future. I will also complete my homework as soon as it is assigned, because that way, I am not in a rush to complete it so I can take my time to fully understand the questions and concepts. To me, my academics are important, so maintaining a high average is an indicator that I’m doing well in the designated subjects. This is beneficial because having good grades will allow me to have more choices for post-secondary education.
Another one of my goals is to do all my tasks the day I get it, instead of putting it off until
Education is a long-term investment. We, as students, work hard to acquire knowledge and to hone our skills so that we may use them one day. The effort we put into a single assignment should be considered as both for that specific assignment and for our rounding as complete, educated individuals. And with this mindset, students should be motivated even more to put more effort and hard work into academics, with the goal of bettering themselves for the future and advancing their prospects as individuals. And with this hard work and effort will come progress, and this progress should be reflected in the grading—not necessarily on individual assignments, but on the student’s education as a
Some of the goals this year is to get good grades on most of the subjects. What I will do to accomplish that is I will listen in class and study for more than one day. Something I’ve done right I want to continue doing is to read a lot of books and writing excellent essays. I also want to do better in Social Studies. I will do this by studying history facts every week.
Keeping track of my academic goals this school year is very important to me. These goals consist of obtaining a 4.0 both semesters. To achieve this, I plan to pay attention in class and make sure to study for tests and quizzes. Also improving upon my procrastination so I am not finishing a project I was assigned two weeks ago the night before. I aim to accomplish this by working to have 50% of a project done, 50% through the given amount of time to finish the
Throughout my life, I have worked hard to do well in school and get good grades. I am proud with what I have achieved, but I am still driven to try and do better. As of right now, I have a cumulative GPA of 3.98. I try to get decent grades not only to please my parents and teachers but to please myself and the colleges I plan on applying to next school year.
I’ve always had to work hard for my good grades. I struggle to comprehend concepts as quickly and easily as my classmates, especially in math and science. However, by working hard both inside and outside of school, I have successfully maintained all A’s and B’s on all my
Motivation and hard work are the key to success. Having a reward will make you feel happy, and worthy of achieving many things if you try. Having good grades is hard, but never impossible.
For my first goal, it is imperative that I obtain an 80% or higher in all my classes for at least one semester during my first two years at University of Maryland (UMD). Accomplishing this goal will guarantee my continuation of the Academic Achievement Program (AAP), and having a B or higher in every class will exempt me from falling below a 2.0. This is SMART goal because it states exactly what I want to achieve for all my classes in one semester. It is measurable and timely because I have given myself four chances to achieve one goal for only one semester. It is achievable if I take advantage of all of my resources, such as my professors, peers, tutors, and the writing center. I will utilize these
Throughout each school year I try to push myself to learn more in every class. I have managed to be in the top 10% of my graduating class due to my hard work in school. My GPA, 98.34% at the end of quarter two, is something that I have maintained because of my eagerness to learn and better myself. I find it fun to learn new things, and to try new things. This year I have tried my best to push myself, taking two Advanced Placement courses and two other weighted classes.
For my first goal which is keeping my grades up, I will come up with a startagi. The reason I wants to get good grades is because it will help with future struggles. But in order to keep my grades up the entire year, I am going to need to ask for help more often so I understand. Not only am I going to have to ask for help but I need to not procrastinate. Im also going to need to focus more on school instead of other things.
I have seen that it is easy to fall behind and lose track of what needs to be done. I have for the past two years of my college experience tried very hard not to fall behind. I have worked diligently in all of my classes and it reflects in my GPA. I am also not taking the easiest way out either. I am taking full semesters with 15 or 18 hours each. I try to get a good mix of classes from different areas. This semester I am taking numerous upper level courses along with lower ones. Some of these classes include tasks that must be done each day and other ones only need to be done once or twice a week. I feel that achieving good grades through the variety of classes that I am taking is a great achievement for me. College is different from high school; students have more freedom. I am proud of myself for my achievement of maintaining my high grades throughout my first couple of years at Lincoln University. I plan to continue to preserve my high grades all the way until
I, Hannah Brennan, epitomize the sense of Academics. I endeavor to take countless classes that will benefit me in my college career. All the while I take those classes, I strive to do my homework and study in order to keep my grade point average as high as I possibly can. I love science and math classes because I know that those will help me more in the future, but I try my hardest in all the classes I take and never try to slack off. I have a fear of getting a lower grade point average which in the end forces me to work harder because my GPA determines how I do in my classes. Keeping a 4.0 GPA is not a struggle since I study as much as I can. I manage to balance this between my extracurriculars by doing the necessary skill of managing my time
A big goal I have for 2017 is to get A's and B´s in all my classes. I want to accomplish that because I want to feel good about it, I want to earn honor roll, I want to make my parents happy again about my school work again. I remember when i was in 5th, 6th, and 7th grade those were the years where my grades were the best in all i got honor roll like 6 times. How am I going to get the grades i want? Well I´m going to start trying harder, I'm going to start studying every night for at least 10 minutes, I´m going to not miss any homework I have to do, I´m going to ask if I could stay after for more help, I´m going to go home and put everything aside for at least 30 minutes and focus on all my school work get my brother to help me on anything I need to get help on.
Most of the time I study for my quizzes 1-2 days before my quiz and then right before class. I only study during school when a teacher says we have free time. All the rest of my studying is done for 30 minutes at home. You can see I take my grades extremely serious. I also check my grades every day, to make sure everything is 85% and above. This is how I stay on top of my grade point average, by keeping up with my grades on a weekly basis.
To achieve good grades in high school a person must be disciplined in their study habits. Once a person reaches high school these habits must be ingrained into the personality of the young person so that they are second nature or it is to late.
Trying to maintain good grades is very important when in school. Having grades like “A’s” and “B’s” for example will result in having many educational opportunities and rewards. Colleges, job companies, or scholarship committees will review grades and other information on a school transcript to see if that student is eligible and satisfy the requirements needed. GPA stands for grade point average, so the higher the grade, the higher the GPA will climb up. This results in getting more money for college if the grade point average is an excellent score. There are some events and programs that reward students for having high and excellent grades. The National Honor Society is one of those programs. In order for a student’s grade to stay on top, completing school assignments are an essential way to do so. It’s not possible to get through or even pass a class without completing assignments. Usually, the class expectations will say for example quizzes are twenty-five percent, homework or classwork is fifteen percent, and tests are forty percent when it comes to grading work. What if the student just focuses on the bigger percentage? Even though the bigger percent has more impact on a student’s grade, the smaller grade percentages can still affect the student if it has not been completed at all because it adds up and it still badly affects the grade. This is why completing assignments are important. Participation in a class setting will improve a student’s grade because getting involved in the class discussions will help to understand the subject better. Some teachers even grade on participation, which can be an easy “A”.
