The community organization my group chose to research in Champaign County was the Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club. I will begin with a description of the Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club including the history of the organization as well as the activities that take place at the club. I will then talk about the role that that Don Moyer plays in the Champaign-Urbana community that was learned through an interview with Ray Pratt who is current Director of Finance at Don Moyer. Being that I am familiar with the Boys & Girls Club organizations both in Champaign and Chicago, I will share how I have connected with the organizations within the past few years. Being that the organization was founded to improve certain communities, I will explain how the activities

I am writing with tremendous enthusiasm about the Executive Director position of the Desert Men’s Council, and it is a position that I sincerely hope you and the board will consider me for. I felt as though I had a setback upon my deferral from The University of Chicago. I decided to reevaluate my decision to apply to the school and truly decide if I could see myself as a student at the University. I began going back over the faculty, facilities, and extracurricular activities that are offered at the school. In addition, I looked over the notes I had written down during my interview with an alumnus. During my review, I learned more about the school such as the emphasis on the Core Curriculum and numerous opportunities for internships (my interviewer interned with President Obama!). After reevaluating, I have confirmed and strengthened my previous belief: I want to attend the University of Chicago.
In 1821, the Boston Manufacturing Company under Francis Cabot Lowell built a textile factory in Waltham, Massachusetts . The next step to achieve economic success was to establish a workforce. The workers at the manufacturing center could not be children, but did not need to be strong to use the machinery, yet had to be smart to completely understand the method to effectively create products with the mechanisms. The solution for Lowell’s ideal personnel was to hire young unmarried women to work in the mills. These women were recruited from 10 years old to middle age throughout rural New England and were called “Lowell Mill Girls.” In order to employ a

If many American youth’s join a afterschool club or Boys and Girls Club they could have the same experience as me. Joining a club can make you very active. The youths can volunteer, make friends and be very open minded. When you volunteer there are many things you could do like; organizing, serving snack and dinner, and starting your own program for the teens. When you get older you going to need friends to remember all those times you did at this club and why would you sent your children here.
The 21st century is a very controversial era bringing up a lot of new ideas and topics. Ben Shapiro, an American conservative political commentator, has talked about many of these ideas. One of those topics are if females, or women who identify as a man, should be allowed in boy scouts. Whether you agree or disagree with his stance, Shapiro brings up a lot of valid points.
I am writing to share that we have a couple of positions available on the board of the school that I founded, the North Carolina Virtual Academy. [Statewide K-12 Virtual Charter School] I believe both of you would be excellent members and great additions to our school. If you would have some interest in talking about it, I would love to tell you more. I will be in Goldsboro this Friday if you have some time.
There are no expected political influences or events that could affect the operation of youth club 's at this time.
This cover letter introduces my very relevant experience, which is a great advantage to your organization in any of the roles above.
