“Why Did I Get Married?” directed and produced by Tyler Perry is a movie based on four couples who take a reunion vacation to the Colorado Mountains in order to reunite with friends from college. On this vacation things didn’t go according to plan. Throughout the movie there was heartbreak, infidelity, suppressed feelings, conflict, and secrets raging throughout each of the couples’ relationship in some aspect. With these unfortunate events occurred at various times throughout the film it cause their trip to evolve from a place to relax, enjoy friends, and time off from work into an emotional and tense atmosphere with the involved couple seeking validation from the other couples on the reason why their marriages are the way they are. Even though the movie ended on a good note in their celebration of Janet Jackson’s character (Pat) receiving an award one of the marriages did not survive. This couple’s relationship will be my focus for this paper.

He hopes for Mariam to turn up somewhere but after awhile, he begins to lose hope. Noor told Habib that it was her fault Mariam is lost, she is the oldest and she should have taken care of Fadi and Mariam, but Fadi feels guilty throughout the whole story. Fadi feels guilty knowing everyone else feels guilty, for what he thinks is his fault. Fadi thinks if he just put Mariam doll in his bag Mariam never would never have gotten left behind and he regrets it everytime he is reminded of her or his doll Gaulimina. Fadi is determined to get Mariam and his honor back but he goes through many obstacles trying to do so. Laila also has to endure many hardships in life, like her family’s death, Tariq leaving, and living with Rasheed. All these factors start to break her and she becomes more depressed and starts making bad decisions. First, Laila survived injuries from a nuclear rocket explosion after being saved by Mariam and Rasheed (Hosseini 193-200). This explosion killed both of her parents forcing Laila to alter her plans for the future. Upon hearing the news, Mrs. Mallard is overwhelmed with grief, which swiftly turned into hope. Mrs. Mallard’s reaction upon receiving the news of her husband 's death is considered to be unusually by society’s standards. In the beginning of the story it is revealed that Mrs, Mallard suffers heart problems; however, when it is revealed that her husband is dead her heart is relieved. She was thrilled that she was able to be her own person again. It was revealed through her reflection on her marriage that she “had loved him - sometimes” (16). Mrs. Mallard overcame is quick to overcome her grief after the realization that she has been set free of her horrible marriage. As a married woman, Mrs. Mallard is miserable, but as a widow she feels a sense of relief that she is free of her marital vows. In Khaled Hosseini’s A Thousand Splendid Suns, many characters are forced to overcome obstacles in their personal lives. Laila and Mariam, the two main characters, find themselves married to the same man, Rasheed. Both had a good relationship with Rasheed at the beginning of their marriages. Soon they found that they were both being abused by Rasheed. Mariam and Laila overcome the abuse by taking matters into their own hands. Khaled Hosseini introduces the reader to the ways many Muslim men and women believe that marriages should be private and that how the man treats his wife or wives is his business. Many relationships find themselves trying to overcome an abusive marriage.

In the movie “ why did I get married” it opens by showing all the couples and their problems that they are going through. These couple are all successful and friends with each other. The group of friends once a year plan a trip out to a random location to get away and spend time with their significate other. The point of the trip was not only to hangout with their friends but also for the couples to get to know each other more and remember why they got married from the beginning. As the group all worked on their relationship, a couple did not want nothing to do with each other except that what mike wanted. Mike was an ass to shiela that critized her about being obbesed and ugly she was. Shiela ignored all the rud comments that was given to her by mike her husband because she believed that if he see her how hard she trying to save their marriage he might want to give it a chance to be happy. Mike and shiela did not end up working out because they ignored the five stages which are initiating, experimenting, intensifying, intergrading, and boding. These five stages could of save and fix relationshipos if both parties are willing to try.

Within the chapters that address the issues Amal and her family face, the situations themselves are not approached effectively enough to give off strong meaning. At one point, Amal and Simone are talking to a boy named Josh. During this section, the focus is on the fact that Simone has a huge crush on Josh. As the three converse, side notes are made by Amal addressing the connection between her friend and the boy. After this, Josh’s cousin comes to pick him up while he’s talking to both girls.

It is not something we just give away or created by feelings or emotions. Trust is something which we need to earn. To keep the relationships, we must be a trusted person. We meet with people in everyday life, but our friends and loved ones are special. We can love any people we meet in our daily life but the relationships want trust. Trust, so that we can share our secret, happiness, sorrows. To give our hundred percent in any relationship, we need the believe that they feel the same for us. In any situation, if we fall down, they will come to save us, this is called trust. Most of the time, family members are the most trusted person in our life. Also, friends and lover earned the trust from us by staying with us, by telling us the truth.
