Marilyn Manson Persuasive Speech

Marilyn Monroe is a timeless figure, known for her sensual yet innocent charm. Her platinum blonde hair continues to be a popular trademark today, with other celebrities continuing to imitate her. She is the image of Hollywood and American perfectibility. However, she was not just a beauty queen who seemingly had the world wrapped around her finger. She was also a vulnerable woman, who severely struggled with mental illnesses, neuroticism, and high expectations. Marilyn Monroe is an epitome of a tragic hero, as she was the victim of a downfall caused by irreparable flaws.

Marilyn Manson has always been one to move against the grain, to be himself and express his opinions through his music. Most consider him to be kind of dark and full of hate; suicidal through violence and drug use, and rage. But Marilyn Manson has brought to light alot of the cluotism of American culture by exposing truths, whether good or bad. . Dubbed the “Anti-Christ Super Star”, his name itself speaks of the ideology of violence and celebrity. By cleverly mixing Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson names together. Showing that sex and death/killings are things that make people famous and bring entertainment to the masses. Brainwashing to conform and make people not see the real truths around them.

The 2016 Presidential Campaign candidate, Bernie Sanders, believes in creating a better America. In proving to the American people, rich and poor, how great the country can be if all people vote for who is trusted best as future President of the United States. The political figures in government care about money and wealth, not the people. Bernard Sanders would be the best choice for President for the main reason that he is concerned about the issues in America that create inequality for the people. The issues addressed by this candidate will create social and economic equality.

My wife and I are planning a trip to Las Vegas the week of March 27th to look for homes. Since our last conversation, we have been casually searching for listings to gather a sense of the type of properties and areas we would like to live in. In addition, we researched schools within the areas where we would like to live. On May 2nd, 2011, the people of the United States awoke to some of the best news they would hear for many years to come; Osama bin Laden had been killed. President Barack Obama delivered the message at 7:30AM and the country was buzzing about it for weeks after. Osama bin Laden was a name that every American man, woman, and child knew. On 9-11-01, four planes were hijacked by terrorists and crashed into strategic locations to sow chaos, confusion, death, and destruction into the American people. 2,977 innocent Americans died on that fateful day, and the man who decided they should die and be subject to terror was Osama bin Laden. Since that fateful day, America has donated massive amounts of time and money to find Osama, and bring him to justice. However, time and time again he evaded capture and kept us chasing him.

We are going to try to make it through our workshops, my little intro on David Foster Wallace and these two videos tomorrow. Might be a little too ambitious. These are wonderful videos, very uplifting, very important to the time we are living in. I think we are in for a fun week. Hey, remember when Donald Trump was a nice person? Yeah, me neither. I find him being a presidential candidate is a joke. 7. Never Waste a perfectly good mistake – This is one of my favorites because everyone is going to make mistakes, but it is how you react and deal with them that makes them good mistakes. His methods are strange and rejected by most of society, as it cannot understand what he is trying to achieve. Many people believe that Marilyn Manson is bizarre, seeing him wearing women's clothing, applying heavy facial makeup, and covering himself with jewelry. His success can be attributed not only to his entertainment abilities, but even more so to the incredible marketing campaign organized to promote himself and his crazy actions. His actions give the media a scapegoat to fall back on and a figure which they can blame all of society's problems. He has amassed a large following

I propose that today’s ‘reality’ shows are classed as drama. Without taking this step, the line between what is acceptable and what’s not will become blurred beyond hope of recovery.

Violence is something that will always be there, whether it be right up in your face, on a battlefield, or creeping in the darkness, sowing the seeds of despair and resentment in humanity’s hearts, forever changing the landscape of your life to come. Violence has vigorously torn apart relationships that have lasted centuries, all because of a single gunshot, which has led to massive bloodshed, and the loss of many loved ones. Violence is a part of a cycle that is necessary in life, but would rather be avoided, which is why I am here, to help diminish that cycle of hatred, through the power of prevention through education, and self control.
