She was an astonishing film actress and sex symbol. She was originally born Norma Jeane Baker (anb.org. 1). She has brought herself up from failure of Broadway to unpopular movies, to the world's greatest icon. Marilyn is considered an immortal (Rudnick 2). It took years for Monroe to reach her fame and she yearned to be taken seriously (Derakhshani 3), but Monroe was a nightmare to work with. She was spoiled, unsure (Rudnick 2) and considered a dumb blonde (anb.org. 1) as she broke down many times between scenes of acting (Rudnick 2), she was considered an unserious actress. Despite the behavior, Monroe was still an inspiring, most famous person yet known. Monroe dedicated herself and built up to her career and image that she was and still is (Derakhshani 1). The people in our lives are very important and this was true for Marilyn Monroe as well. The first person who impacted Marilyn Monroe in her life was her mother, Gladys, who had a schizophrenic paranoia. Gladys lacked motherhood because of her illness . Her illness also caused both of them to run in and out of hospitals (Derakhshani 2). Because of these effects, it caused Marilyn to go into foster homes, orphanages, and guardianships. But, Gladys has been in most of Marilyn’s life.
The second person who impacted Marilyn was her first husband, James Dougherty. Marilyn and James married at a young age, he was a positive impact in the beginning of Monroe’s life because he took Marilyn out of her treacherous orphanages and foster homes, so that she wouldn't have to go back. It gave her an advantage, personal strength, and maintenance that helped her manage to achieve her career. But Dougherty caused Marilyn to quit school and she already had a bad education.
