Martin was born on January 15, in 1929, in Atlanta. He was born into a very disciplined, respected and well balanced family. Both of his parents tried hard to protect their kids from being exposed to racism, but it was impossible. Martin’s dad (Martin King Sr) fought against racism and segregation as he thought it was against God’s wishes. This is what inspired Martin to follow his dad’s path to fighting for equality and against separation.

I might be very scared, but Martin Luther King, Jr. didn’t run away and he tried to protect people from terror. Martin Luther King, Jr. knew many people thought oppression against race has to be changed : “ When he was a young man, Martin Luther King wanted a career helping people. He felt that as a minister, he could speak out “against racial injustice”. Following the example of the Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. King chose nonviolence as the keystone of his fight for civil rights”.

Zimbardo does extensive research which leads him to the conclusion that “the key to heroism is a concern for other people in need- a concern to defend a moral cause, knowing there is a personal risk, done without expectation of reward”(paragraph 5). Martin Luther King Jr. will forever be immortalized as a man who wanted equality and nothing but the best for citizens in America.

There are always those people in the world who are intelligent for their work that they have done and they are brave for things they have done. And one of those people are Martin Luther King Junior. Why is he so brave?? Well, he stood up for his beliefs and his right that he had as a citizen. He was intelligent because he was able to lead african americans in a peaceful way and to the plan of civil rights. He was a lot of people's heroes for simple reasons, for being such a great leader in the world and for giving the people more rights, for example he gave the people the right to help with racial rights/racism. And back in the 1960s african american people and white people had to be in their own schools by their race, and african american people had to stand on busses and couldn't sit and once a white person comes they have to give up their seat for the white person. And one person didn’t do that, and her name is Rosa Parks. She just got on the bus and there was a seat open and so she sat on that seat but then a white person came by and demanded for that seat but she said, “ no!” And everyone was shocked that she didn’t give up her seat.But that showed a lot of bravery, to not listen to the law. She shows that she cares about different races and so does Martin luther king jr.
