I've been watching Puroresu since about 2000, and I would always see this weird figure. A rather gangly man with a weird build - of a wooden table lol. Moved very slowly - snail paced movements. I would ask myself "Why is he in the ring with guys like Misawa, Kawada, etc ?" or "Why is he so damn beloved by this crowd??", I've neglected this man until around 2013, that's 13 years of neglect that I wised never happened, if I could go back to I'd smack myself lol. The man I'm talking about is Shohei "Giant" Baba. I'm not gonna get in depth because Google exists, but my god was this guy was amazing. I'd say from about 1963 - 1981 was his best years (I'm not very good at saying wrestlers best years, but at damn near 20 yrs that's amazing still). The dude can sell his ass off and make the crowd feel sympathetic or fire up and become a badass -- engaging in many bloody bouts. Like his teacher Rikidozan he would fight off foes like Abdullah The Butcher, The Destroyer, Don Leo Johnathan, The Sheik, Fritz Von Erich and the list would go on and on. As many bloodbath's as he had with these foes, in the end they had automatically respected him and praising his name in a elite manner. Training a future list of legends such as Jumbo Tsuruta (His greatest achievement as a trainer, creating a wrestler that better than he was!) …show more content…
Mitsuharu Misawa, Toshiaki Kawada, Akira Taue, Jun Akiyama and Kenta Kobashi, etc Baba will forever be remembered as an Amazing Wrestler, Amazing Trainer, Amazing Booker but more importantly an Amazing
In Willa Cather’s The Death comes for the Archbishop, Father Latour is clearly portrayed as a person with deep concern and understanding for the people and a desire that makes a lasting impact on the land that ultimately becomes his new home. He is committed himself to self-sacrifice for the sake of the people he seeks to serve and exhibits a strong sense of courage in setting his own needs aside. Father Latour’s influence on the people that he encounters makes him the heroic figure in the novel.
If Phillip Malloy had sued the schools the school would have won. There were plenty of witnesses telling of what Philip did, and plenty of examples of why Philip was wrong.
Pg. 107 Amir saw Baba cry for the first time. Baba is a real man.
In the book, Baba seems to be very tough and masculine. There were even rumors that he once tackled a bear. “ My father was a force of nature, a towering Pashtun specimen with a thick beard, a wayward crop of curly brown hair as unruly as the man himself, hands that looked capable of uprooting a willow tree, and a black glare that would ‘drop the devil to his knees begging for mercy,’as Rahim Khan used to say.” When Amir was young he tried really hard to be like his dad. He joined the soccer team to gain his approval, but he wasn’t interested in that. “Of course, marrying a poet was one thing, but fathering a son who preferred burying his face in poetry books to hunting...well, that wasn't how Baba had envisioned it, I suppose.” Amir couldn’t live up to his father’s expectations because he wasn’t the same person as
The book Charles written by Shirley Jackson is about a young boy into his first month of kindergarten. He would always come home and talk about a boy named Charles. Charles is a troublemaker, who was also a bad influence. Whenever Laurie talked about Charles, it would be about what he did, and how he would be punished. Everyone has been taught in their childhood to follow the rules or else there could be consequences. This is shown mainly in the book Charles. Charles is always getting into trouble. Every time that Laurie talks about him, it’s about how he gets punished and what he did to get punished. This is shown many times throughout the story and here are some reasons.
Baba sacrificed his own soul in order to keep the people he loved safe. He committed the only sin that he believed in, “and that is theft” (17). He hid his affair and having a second son, not for his reputation’s sake, but to keep everyone around him safe. He stole Amir and Hassan of a true brotherhood, but
An Ordinary Man by Paul Rusesabagina takes the audience through a journey of expression and of events that occurred during the Rwandan genocide. In the autobiography, Paul shows many emotions and several tones. The most frequent one was emotional. three direct quotes that demonstrate this tone are, “the person's throat whose you don't cut will be the one who cuts yours”(), “ I was a hotel manager doing his job”(190), and ¨their uniqueness was gone..loved ones erased with a few swings of a cheap machete¨
When Brian Robeson first crashed into the Canadian wilderness, he had to change his actions and personality for him to be able to survive in the wild, especially when there are 10 moose per square foot in Canada. This expository writing includes personality changes from the three books that Brian is involved in, which are Hatchet, The River, and Brian’s Return.
Geoffrey Chaucer uses fabliau throughout the Canterbury Tales through multiple characters. One character he demonstrates this motif through is the summoner. The Summoner is an example because his face is infested with boils and pimples. Another character this is said through is the Pardoner. The Pardoner is another prime example because he was demented and homosexual with the Summoner. The last character he demonstrates this through is the Friar. The Friar is the last example of fabliau because he would listen to peoples marriage problems and would charge them a fee to do so.
Bayard Sartoris’s defining moment is when he strides into Redmond’s room wielding nothing despite being confronted with a gun, a testament to his refusal to kill and consequently, his maturity. This cool-headed moment of empty-handed triumph shows that the true victor of Bayard and Redmond’s struggle was the former. This bold action was a far cry from Bayard’s previous notable acts, whether committed in a youthful fervor or a spiteful rage. Though Bayard had previously shown that he was capable of killing another after ending the life of Grumby, he shows that he has grown since then, and even when his lifelong role model is stolen away from existence.
I think Ishmael refused the "jug of water" from Gasemu because he was angry that he couldn't go see his family right now and that they had to wait to rest. On page 93 Ishmael says, “I became angry that we had to rest, and I sat on a big rock away from the group”. He also said, “Part of me was on the way to the village, the other impatiently waited on the hill”. He was anxious to see them because it had been a long time since he last saw them and has been thinking about them everyday. These two quotes showed how he was angry and anxious about finding out that his family was still alive, but couldn’t see them right away. Ishmael started his journey with Junior, Mohamed, Talloi, Gibrilla, Kaloko, and Khalilou. Ishmael got split from them whenever
Hi, I’m the Dodomousemamba. some of you may think I’m evil, but truly I’m not an evil person. I have the head of a black mamba snake, the body of a dodo bird, and the legs and tail of a mouse. I am brown in color with bright yellow eyes, and I have abnormally large fangs. As a result of having fangs people think I’m pure evil. I have always tried to love my neighbors and send them flowers and nice fruit, but all the send me is dead flowers, skulls, and the occasional rat.
Mark Malloy was working his normal day job in the office, when suddenly he was given an assignment to a person who went missing with 5.6 million dollars that was from the law firm’s secret bank account. Baba helps the poor and is constantly giving to his community “Helped me build the house in Taimani…found me a job…barely knew me…like a brother to me” (Hosseini, 184). This tells one that Baba is a caring, helpful person and that Baba does not take advantage of his power.
