Chapter One “Hey stop licking me!” A girl with crazy bronze hair says to the wolves that are on top of her. “You guys are so crazy! What am I going to do?” She pushes the wolves off and stands up. “I wonder what the stars are doing tonight?” Maybella finds ‘her’ tree and climbs to the top. “Why do the stars twinkle?” “Because the stars are dying,” says the voice inside Maybella’s head. “Everything dies my sweet Maybella.” “Then where is Dad?” “My sweet Maybella, you know that he is not dead. He is out there somewhere, trying to figure out how to save the pack. Be patient my child.” “I just don’t understand! I have been waiting my whole life in this-this stupid forest, hiding! I want to be where the humans are!” Maybella exclaims. “Sweetie, …show more content…
I HATE THIS FOREST MOM! IT’S SO BORING! I WANT TO LEARN NEW THINGS! BE A NORMAL PERSON!” Maybella yells and jumps down from her tree. She heads into the cave with the rest of the wolves for some sleep. The next morning, Maybella gets up to go take a swim in the nearby river. She puts on her swimming gear and runs to the river. Her best friend, Phoebe, decides to come with her too. When Maybella gets to the river, she dips her toe to see if the water is cold. The next thing she knows she is flung into the water! Phoebe jumps onto Maybella and sends her flying into the …show more content…
Soon, they both get hungry. “Hey, do you want that Robin now? I am kind of hungry.” Phoebe says. “Sure. I am hungry too.” Maybella replies. Maybella and Phoebe start to head back to the pack. The rest of the wolves are having a daily morning meeting. “So, who is going to get the fish?” says the female leader. “How about Markus, you do it?” “Why me!? I hate going into the river!” a stout wolf next to her says. “Azalea, you are so mean! You can’t force me to do it either.” “I can only act as the leader. We know he is still out there… Markus go and get the fish!” “Ugh! Fine! I hate older sisters.” Markus storms away from the pack meeting and rams a tree on the way out. Shortly after, Maybella and Phoebe arrive, surprised, and quickly joins the meeting. “I can’t believe that the squirrel population is plummeting! How are we going to survive?” A small wolf asks. “How is that possible? We can’t feed on bigger animals or we risk getting caught by humans.” One of the elders pointed out. “I think we have to start feeding on bigger animals. It’s about time we start. I knew that smaller animals weren’t going to cut it” Azalea
“ Yes, I want her in my office in 30 minutes.” I told him as I walked past him. I went to the top floor of the house where my room was and cleaned myself up. The closer I got to meeting the girl the more restless my wolf got. As quickly as I could I got ready to meet the rouge that was brave enough to pass on to my
The men all erupted into laughter. “We aren’t hunting no deer tonight, boy. We are going to keep the town safe tonight by decreasing the wolf population.”
Roxanne couldn’t believe what she was doing. Housing a werewolf by choice, how was that honouring the witches code? A stifled sigh escaped her lips before she took a long swing of the wine that resided in her glass that looked rather enormous compared to her delicate fingers. What hadn’t evaded her was the sound he made as she’d touched him, a purr? It was something far lower than a purr, a rumble of sorts. All she knew for sure was that it wasn’t aggressive. How could this even be? She’d never read or heard of such a pairing. She guessed that he was classed as an animal in some way, but this was more than she’d expected could ever happen.
"It's okay, none taken, after all, some wolves prefer to be locked up, while others prefer to be free, it's your choice" says Fredrick.
“All right, I’ll take you to him. But if he doesn’t know you, you’re all going to be thrown into the frying pan.” She made a slashing gesture with her huge, hooked claw across her neck. “And I’ll cook you up just like I do my fish, dark and crispy.”
“Concentrate, Aiden!” He clapped his hands. “Please you really need to focus. This is important. Children have to be careful when they venture into the forest. There’s a pack of wild, voracious wolves with gaping mouths reeling with fangs and forked tongues each as thick as my wrist. They roam the woods, ten feet or more, and then hung in the trees, breathing raggedly tasting your scent, considering how best to devour you. As a matter of fact only, the other day several of them snatched a baby elf out of its sleeping mother’s arms and thrashed the poor little dear to pieces.
“And a pack of them can do even more. There’s a reason why cooperation within individuals is so common among animals. It’s useful. I doubt the hellhounds would have been any threat at all, if you were just facing off against one.”
While walking thru the forest , something with a coat white as snow dotted in front of me i grabbed my knife from its sheath but, then i realized it was okulu a wolf that i have known since the day i was born i quickly put away my knife,”What did you think i was?” she said.”I thought
" He knew I was going to do this. I like to think he'll still be somewhere offering support."
“Why didn’t you tell me? We shouldn’t be here! Why would you bring me into these woods were you new there were werewolf’s who probably hate you? You can deal with this on your own, take the last bullet.” Rob said, angry. Then he started following the path back to the camp.
Jensen frowned at the man and stepped back. "Perhaps, but in teaching your <i>'lessons'</i>, you forgot your spot on the food chain. Don’t worry, we'll remind you."
“Excuse me princess, but I would like to build my cave in the field right here. For I have spent many nights, cold without a shelter. I promise I won’t take up too much room
Hunger made her stomach rumble like thunder, but still she hesitated as she watched the girl. Her instincts were telling her to act quickly, before something else did, but she found that she was reluctant to do so. She was no friend to humans. The wolf had witnessed their cruelty firsthand, when they stole her pups and slaughtered her pack, but there was something different about this one, an innocence the others had not possessed. And, perhaps, the wolf saw something in the child that reminded her of herself.
“Well, apparently the elder sent every village in Bichon Frise a message. He wants to hold a meeting at Elder Village. Something about the end of our days.”
“Sorry sir, I woke up in this forest unintentionally, and was meaning to find my own way home. However I stumbled across unusual sounds, and due to curiousity, I decided to explore,” gulped the fawn.
