In science and anatomy class students find out how the human body works and moves, this is the class that spiked my passion for anatomy. Careers that would relate to the human would be is the medical field such as nurses, doctors, etc. Once knowledge of the differences in medical careers started growing, those involving treatment and surgical operations were of greatest interest.
A surgery that is of interest is that of an orthopedic surgeon because these physicians operate on bones, ligaments, muscles, tendons, joints, and sometimes tumors. Surgeons have an advantage not shared by some other careers because they can choose times to schedule their surgeries and where they want to live because hospitals can be found everywhere. Family

Another advantage to being a NFL physician that would be of great interest would be the opportunity to travel. Physicians for NFL teams travel the United States with the team and experience the world; however, a possible drawback to this would be time away from family. A surgeon with a sports medicine practice would probably have a greater opportunity to experience time with family. Both of my choices are in the medical field, but they specialize in different areas, have different hours, and have different pay. The differences between the jobs assist in narrowing the choice of whether being a surgeon or an NFL physician will be a better job opportunity. The choice that appears to be the best fit for a young, graduate doctor that has not yet started a family is that of being a NFL physician because traveling the United States and meeting famous people while making an acceptable salary and working with sports medicine sounds exciting and rewarding. When the time comes to settle down and raise a family then the education, skills, and experience gained could be channeled into opening a rehabilitation center where people with sports injuries could recover. Luckily, science has made surgeons jobs easier because anesthesia has given them
For as long as I can remember I have been interested in pursuing a career in the medical field. There are a lot of health care professionals what have jobs that are extremely important. I have very high respect for anyone in the medical field, by becoming a doctor I would leave this world a better place.
My chosen degree program is Associates of Applied Science in Medical Assisting at Kaplan University. I am currently a online student. I have been doing some research of my program and I have came up with a lot of very interesting facts. First the median salary for a Medical Assistant is $28,860 per year that is about $13.87 a hour, that was in May 2010. There could be opportunities it maybe higher, For example, the experience you may have, or the facility you are working in, and even the level of the education that you have (/www. .bls.gov/ooh/healthcare/medical-assistants.htm).
Throughout this project my intention is to learn about all my career and college options for my desired job which is a sports medicine physician. With this report I aim to learn as much as I can about that job because then I can make an educated decision whether or not I want to pursue this career. As I write this Career Research report I hope to learn what high school and college classes I need to take and how many years I need to attend college. I hope that this paper helps me wrap my head around this job and decide whether this is a career I would like to do further research in.
After my completion at Dorsey I would like to further my career at St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center. I feel as though I will be the perfect fit to complement the requirements to be a Medical Assistant at St. Josephs. As well the St. Joseph's founders helping hands reminds me of my past and those who helped me. Therefore St. Josephs history shows me that being a Medical Assistant is more than what it seems and is a passion that I hope to follow at St. Joseph.
In today’s world, a considerable number of careers and opportunities can be found within the field of healthcare. Jobs ranging anywhere from top notch researchers to the uppermost surgeons can be located within this same field. Having so many options for occupations is beyond helpful, although it can become an overwhelming task when it comes down to choosing just one. It is important that I research and identify all the pros and cons of each of my desired professions. Then, compare and contrast them to each other in order to find a career path that is right for me. The choice between becoming a nurse practitioner and a physician has been quite the struggle, therefore it is time
I have danced around with the many options in the medical field since high school, from paramedic to forensic pathologist and everything in between. I decided on medical assisting because I see it as a step towards other possibilities, a foot in the door to see what I enjoy and will want to do in the future. Medical Assistance have a wide working spectrum and are in many medical areas such as a family clinic, pediatrics, and plastic surgery. Because my goal is a forensic pathologist or autopsy assistant I want to be a medical assistant in plastic or general surgery because I believe it will be a wonderful step towards my goal. As a medical assistant you are held to a high standard of professionalism because the situations you will be working
Some things that I know about the medical field are that there are many career paths that I can choose that involve medicine or diseases and even surgeries and injuries. The medical career field that I know the most about and have experienced the most of is physical therapy. Physical therapist help people with their injuries and provide exercises for people to help them heal faster and heal correctly, basically there job is to help patients take care of a torn muscle or any other kind of injury.
Many specialists start out working in private and public clinics with other physicians. Once the specialist has developed experience and a good reputation of being an excellent doctor, they will decide to open their own clinic. They can also work in rehabilitation facilities, where they help with physical therapy. Another option is working for high school or college sports team. Many physicians get in touch with high schools and colleges to see what positions they have for them and if they qualify. There is also that one position where all specialists in this field dream of working one day, which is professional sports. Specialists in this field can work with professional sports team, “where they work directly with the athlete while they train”. “They use preventative measures to help the athlete maintain good wellness”. To work in this part of the field, the specialist must have many years of experience and be well known for their good work (Exploring Health Careers
Growing up, I always loved science and math. I never had a specific area of interest until I took biology in high school. This caused my interest to grow, therefore, I sought out for more education. This is when I finally found the area of science that interested me the most, and that was human anatomy. I knew that I wanted to study this field of science for the rest of my life. I chose surgery because I can be face to face with the human body and can deeply study every part of it. This seemed like the most beneficial career for me.
Looking into medical careers that interested me, there were many jobs that involve blood or needles and I am the person that does not like either of those. Taking advanced placement chemistry, I found the classes challenging, enjoyable, and I fell in love with science, especially chemistry. After extensive research, I decided to major in pharmacy, which I found to be a flexible degree. Not only is it flexible, it will allow me to help others because it offers careers in pharmaceutical companies to develop drugs. My main career objective is to be able to help others in a productive career that I enjoy.
A pediatric surgeon career is the career for me because, I like helping people. I would want to have a job that involves helping people and saving lives every day. If there was any type of surgeon I would of course be a kids one. Helping kids everyday is something that I would like to do and i’m sure anybody else would like to do!
For my career I chose a Physical Therapist. Physical Therapists help sick and injured people. Before they are allowed to work with the patient they must first look through the patients’ doctors notes and look at the referral, so they have an idea of what wrong with the patient. Then, they are allowed to start the sessions. PTs stretch and exercise the muscle or spot that is injured. They teach patients how to stop injuries from happening, control their condition, and help from injuring themselves more. Being physically fit is very helpful when it comes to lifting people and heavy equipment. Examining the individual is also necessary for this job so they can make a plan on what exercises they want to give the patient or
To become an OB GYN, there are certain job tasks, special skills, and talents, as well as a higher education that is needed. Not only will you need these tasks, but you will
Thinking back to what made me consider the medical field, I don’t remember considering any other field. Before I could even understand what physicians actually did, I knew that they had a major impact on a person’s life. It is obvious that doctors save life everyday, but the way they save lives was always interesting to me.Beyond all the medicine and surgery, a physician takes the time to guide and support every patient. Being a physician is not purely ingrained in science, nor is it purely ingrained in humanism. It was the unique combination of both that drew me to consider being a physician.
I remember fracturing my ankle once from a soccer injury. I took around a month or two to rehabilitate my injury. The physician was able to answer all the questions I had as well as teach me how to walk again after removing my cast. His knowledge of the body and how fast he could recall the information fascinated me. Of course there is also my mother who is a nurse, and she also wants me to be a doctor. In addition to that, my passion to help people added on to my curiosity of pursuing a life in the medical field. It was not until I took Honors Biology 1 with Professor Do at IVC that my interest in biology was made certain. I originally wanted to be a clinical psychologist, but the reason I strayed from it was because I wanted to deal with
