If I had to critique Mercy Corps in terms of effectiveness the main factor I would focus on would be the dollar amount invested per person helped. This way it would be clear if the donations spent are actually helping the people. There are other factors but the reason why I chose this one first is because it's a charity and their business is based on donations. Another factor I would choose would be how much are they spending to analyze their events. I would want to critique this area because they should not be using too much money on events. This would either make the company successful or really hurt the company as a whole. Basically, I would really focus on the financial side to make sure the percentages are accurate. Also to make sure
performance which in turn will ensure competitive advantage for their organization. It can be used to determine things like the mission, vision, goal, values, mission, timeline objectives, roles and responsibilities.

The American Red Cross is a major organization in the United States and around the world. Clara Barton founded the American chapter in 1881. She was a public servant who decided to get involved during the civil war by attending to wounded soldiers and feeding them on the battlefield. Her sense of humanitarian work was only strengthened by her trip to Europe during the Franco Prussian war, where she discovered the initiative of Henri Dunant (Reitman, 1996). After the battle of Solfinero, this Swiss banker was shocked by the carnage of war and decided to gather doctors and volunteers around the village to help tend to the wounded. This action motivated him to create a nonpartisan organization that can focus on caring for people wounded in wars and conflicts regardless of their origin. (Reitman, 1996). The organization was ratified in the 1864 Geneva Convention by twelve countries and later by many others. The United States Red Cross was founded due to the efforts of Barton in Washington (Reitman, 1996). The first chapter of the national American Red Cross was created in upstate New York. Later, the organization received funding to create its national headquarters in Washington. Since then, the Red Cross has benefited form a close relationship with Washington as it was created by congressional charter more than a century ago and plays a

In my opinion, Mercy Corps is an exceedingly marketable Non-Governmental Organization. In fact, I see their ads on YouTube and other websites I visit frequently by taking this route they can reach a diverse group of individuals, which increases their ability to advocate their mission. They are heavily engaged with the media and have a great deal of press releases, news clips and media enterprises. The press releases just inform the public about their work, programs, and sponsors. For reference, I had seen some press releases about refugee aid, grants, humanitarian efforts, and public health campaign. When it comes to media resources I think Mercy Corps undoubtedly surpasses lots of Non-Governmental Organization’s expectations. Mercy Corps
